I always enjoy the food. The flavors are bright and healthy. I gave Free Range 4 stars due pricing. I bought my daughter a PBJ recently and didn't realize that it was just a sandwich. Spending $5 for a cut out from a normal slice of bread and no sides wasn't enough. I would suggest serving it with a bag of chips or apple slices. It was overpriced for a kids choice. I wish it were a meal. Adding a bag of chips to any of the sandwiches would make such a difference!

They offer plenty of gluten- free options, which is a plus and often hard to find when dining out. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. Even on their busiest days, the cafe operates seamlessly- a true testament to expert management and strong teamwork. It’s clear that the staff take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy being there- a rare and refreshing experience.

I used to love this place. Anymore the food when I go is subpar but what really prompted me to write this review was the terrible customer service. I walked in the door no one acknowledged me. I walked to the register no one acknowledged me. I was the only one there mind you. I could see four people but no one looked at me. I literally had to throw my keys on the counter to make noise to get someone to look at me. What type of business are you running if the customer doesn’t come first ?? I would have understood if it was busy or someone would have said we will be with you in one moment. But the two girls in the front just seemed more interested in talking. I can let subpar food slide from time to time but my god that was ridiculous.

Free Range Cafe in Hagerstown, MD is a hidden gem with a focus on fresh ingredients. I had the Korean BBQ rice bowl and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was delightful! Would highly recommend!!
Free Range is my go-to breakfast spot when I am in Hagerstown. The wraps are the best around and are prepared with healthy ingredients. I also recommend any of the coffee and smoothie options, can’t go wrong with any of them. I mainly use the drive through, where the service is always fast from their friendly staff.

Delicious, healthy food - Free Range is our absolute favorite place for a good breakfast or lunch. The BYO toast has become a new favorite - sweet or savory, there are so many combinations to choose from! The coffee is so good, but then it's River Bottom Roasters coffee, so why wouldn't it be? Service is always outstanding - even when they are busy, you just know they are aware of you and working to give you and all their customers the best service possible. As for ambiance? Free Range has a neat, clean and cheerful dining area - not to mention the patio area - so it is just an all-round enjoyable dining experience.

I’d give zero stars if I could, their customer service is subpar and lackluster, with plenty of room for improvement. It is Mother’s Day and I wanted to come here for the first time with my family since I’ve heard good things about this place, however I am left unimpressed with how we stood there waiting to be serviced and they just stared at us like we were inconveniencing them. As someone who works with the public and in a customer service field, I’m appalled at this place’s lack of sense of urgency. It’s a shame because their menu actually looks appetizing, however the atmosphere and service just don’t justify waiting so long.
