Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

I haven't eaten at this particular Golden Corral in quite a few years as we normally go to Winchester. Believe me when I say there's no comparison between the two. I definitely should've saved $80 and went elsewhere. We were given "medium well" steaks that were hard and crunchy. Most of the food looked dried out like it had been there all day. Almost everything we ate had an "off" taste. My daughter got jello and applesauce that tasted sour. Most of the food we got on our plates went back with the server. You can't get your own plates anymore which left us waiting for a while. The entire time we were there, someone came to our table 3 times. Once to get our drinks, once to take our dirty plates (no clean ones brought back), and once to ask how everything was as we were getting ready to leave. We only got 1 of our 4 drinks refilled, which is crazy considering they give you 32 oz To Go cups now. I went to the ladies room once during our visit and it was dark, run down, and dirty. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning and we will recommend others to avoid this location as well.

Food was great, bathroom was clean so was the rest of the restaurant my waiter was really nice gave him a 5$ tip. He was most appreciative.

May be the worst place I have been to. Service was non existent, server never brought us clean plates or fresh drinks even though we saw her bring stacks of plates to other tables. Food was awful. Definitely not going back.

The worst golden corral I’ve ever eaten them. It was dirty, the food was sitting there for a long time, and most of it was very cool. The spinach was laying in just water. Overall, it was very bad. I have been in many good Golden corrals, but this one is not good Nothing was

Food was decent. Our group told them months in advance that we would be coming, and they were not prepared for us. Some staff was very pleasant, others were not at all. Would not recommend bringing a large group here.

This is the most unsanitary and unpleasant Golden corral location I've been to in all of my years. The kitchen manager should be replaced immediately alpng with all the staff. The manager is rude and unprofessional and when u asked if he could put out fresh Mac n cheese he gave me dirty looks and told the kitchen manager " just warn it up to make her happy". Mind u the Mac n cheese was for my 6 year old daughter. All of the food was old and looked like slop and as if it had been sitting there for hours. All of the staff seemed as if they weren't working and just hanging around and laughing with each other. I'm calling cooperate immediately!!!

To start off, the older lady at the front counter was not very friendly. The buffet did not have many options, food wasn't great and the restraunt was pretty filthy, very disappointed in this location it has went down hill.

Kid-friendliness: My kids usually aim for the pizza at Golden Corral and this location did not have that nor did they have cotton candy...

We spent $55 for 3 adults, and it definitely wasn't worth it. I have visited this location twice since the pandemic. Pre- pandemic, this was a decent place that I went not regularly but often enough. There was good variety and a few items that were staples for me. The kids loved the dessert table and all of the toppings available.The offerings looked pretty sad on my last visit. Busy Friday night, and at some point, there were only two broken taco shells on the table. A buffet should never get that low on any item. Nothing actually tastes good, but you could say that for most buffets. My main complaints are that there wasn't fresh food coming out to replenish the trays in a timely manner, lack of cleanliness and while the server initially placed 10 plates on the table to start, I eventually had to clear our table by placing the used plates on the empty table besides us because she didn't come back.

This was our 2nd time visiting and we enjoyed it. The food is so good. The waitress was very friendly and as she worked she was singing to the music that played and she had a lovely voice. We stopped here after visiting Gettysburg on our way home because we don't have a Golden Corral in our area anymore - and when we did the food wasn't as good as this one anyway.

Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians I think - the salad bar is huge and there are plenty of veggies on the other bars also

I recommend coming here. The food is so good. It's mouthwatering. Juicy. Everything you would want on the food. The service is alright. You just can't get your own plates anymore. The atmosphere is perfect. No babys crying. Nobody slapping your head. Just perfect.

Parking: The parking lot in front of the store is packed.

Kid-friendliness: They allow kids and they can give free meals to young kids.

So... went to the Hagerstown Golden Corral. Let me just say that the GM was incredibly rude, horrible at his job and unprofessional.We stopped on the way home because my sugar was low and it was the only buffet I knew of in the area. There was hardly anything on the bar to eat and what was there was OLD and coldSo, we got our food and didn't see the waitress...sat there for almost 10 minutes waiting on something to drink. I finally had enough and asked the cashier to have the manager come speak to me.When the manager finally came to our table he had an attitude from the get go. He says "what's the problem?" I explained to him that the problem was that there was hardly any food out and what was out was old and nasty and that we had been sitting there forever without seeing a waitress and had no drinks.So he says let me see your receipt. Looks at my receipt and says "you only got here 4 minutes ago what do you expect". So I pull up my credit card transaction history on my phone and show him where I had been there waaaay longer than 4 minutes and the time on my receipt was obviously incorrect.Then he says "what do you want money?" and tries to hand me cash out of his wallet. I said sir I don't want your money. I want hot and fresh food and something to drink.He says "there is food and your drinks are coming." Now mind you he's not saying any of this kindly. He has an attitude and is being condescending the entire time...and I match energy so I at that point was a little heated.So he asks me again if I want a refund. At that point I said yes I do but not out of your pocket. I'm sure you work hard for your money... give me a refund back onto my credit card.So, then this guy comes back and has me sign something saying I'm getting a refund. So, I sign it and he then tells me I need to leave since my money was refunded. Which entirely pissed me off because Iris was eating and I had to take food out of my babies hands to leave that nasty restaurant. I asked for his bosses name and he pointed to his name tag and said "I am the boss". I said oh so you own the franchise? He said no...but there's nobody above me.. and you need to leave...um okaySo we left but not before I told him exactly what I thought of him..his mother and his whole upbringing.. because at that point I had lost all self control and was fighting the urge to resort to a version of myself that I don't like...That's okay though... I found out who owns the franchise...and I'm waiting on a call back.. also made a phone call to the Washington County Health Department Environmental Services division..can we say "surprise inspection"Oh and may I add that I have zero proof my money was refunded and USUALLY it goes back on my card right away but it isn't there..

This is the worst Golden Corral in the entire nation. They still make you buy a large drink in a plastic cup and charge you $4 for the drink and all that should have ended when covid ended but yet they are still cashing in making money off this they will not let you have a regular drink like other Golden Corrals do for $2 the buffet is way overpriced the food is always old and dried out the dessert bar never has nothing on it the restaurant is dirty the bathrooms are disgusting and the management does not care the service is slow the servers are horrible save your money and go to another Buffet this place is the worst

It doesn’t get worse than this place. My worst golden coral experience.Bathroom was horrible, the food was the worst I’ve eaten at any golden coral, waitress wasn’t the greatest! The manager should be ashamed and main office needs contacted an informed of this location! It is UNFIT TO EAT HERE! Filthy and disgusting! American food establishments need to wake up ,prices rise and service is at an all time low. Here is living proof!!!!
