Meinelschmidt Distillery

Love there whiskey mainly there cinnamon the only downside is you HAVE to go to there distillery as there websight is broken and wont let you order online

We were in town to see Jim Breuer at the Maryland Theatre and stumbled onto Meinelschmidt Distillery during a St Patrick's day event. They had a handful of whiskey, bourbon, vodka and gin to choose from. They also had some whiskey jello shots for the St Pats event, which were delicious. The atmosphere was quite relaxed with a series of hightops and tables to sit at as well as a bar (obviously). You can actually see the distillation column still through the windows for a sneak peek into what they are processing. I enjoyed an old fashioned while my wife had a schmidty which was cranberry juice, peach and blackberry liqueur that we both enjoyed. The bartender was easygoing and kept us entertained the entire time and provided some history of the area. They did not have food, except for pre-packaged nuts, but it's a distillery, so I can't fault them on that. Besides, there's a restaurant within the same building. I enjoyed the bourbon enough to pick up a bottle. It's a smooth drinking bourbon that can be enjoyed neat or made into and old fashioned (as it is in the attached image). I highly recommend stopping by this place if you're in the area.

Attended the New Year’s Eve release of their new bourbon and boy was it worth the wait! Outstanding full bodied mouth feel and has a perfect taste through out! You guys hit it out of the park!! 10/10!! Highly recommend and the price is perfect!!

3DEC.2023 Nice first time visit with my partner. The liquor flights are delicious and spanks your taste buds satisfactory. Beautiful venue inside downtown Hagerstown.

Awesome place! You will find the owners that takes pride in quality, has a friendly staff and unique atmosphere!

Stopped in to check this place out and wasn't disappointed. If you like whiskey, this is a good place to visit. They have cocktails and other options made from their vodka as well so there's a decent variety. I had a flight and the "not my gumdrop buttons" and my girlfriend had the passion fruit Cosmo and a lemon drop. There were also games out on some tables to play with, so I recommend stopping in.
