Nick's Airport Inn

My wife and I go every year for our anniversary. Excellent food & service

We visited Nicks for the first time last week. It took close to 30 minutes before a server brought us some water and then we waited another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Prices are extremely high for this area. My soup was lukewarm at best and my entree portion protein (tuna) was very small. For $200 for two people (with only one adult beverage), I’d expect a much better dining experience.

Everything was excellent, we had filet mignon and I also had the lobster tail. The meal was cooked to perfection, the waitress was very sweet.
The only complaint I have was with the hostess. She was not nice, quite cold and made us feel unwelcome.
Summing it up, don't focus on the hostess. Just go enjoy a great meal and peaceful ambiance.

What a fun little place! Food was excellent, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is lovely. A little throw-back to the 90s decor, this is a cute little place!

Attended a special wedding event at Nick's, and the food and service were excellent!

Staff was very courteous. Tomato Basil Bisque soup and homemade chips was great!

Had a reservation for 7pm had to wait 15 minutes for a table, even though we made reservations in advance. The host at the front was unpleasant, and acted quite snobbish. Basically tossed the special menus on the table and left. We waited at least an hour for our food. The food came out cold. The steak, mashed potatoes, salmon, and pasta were all ice cold. Highly disappointed with this restaurant that’s supposed to be the elite of the area. Not impressed at all. Their food is not worth the price or experience. However, our waitress was nice and attentive.

Recently had lunch there with a friend and was terribly disappointed. I had the crabcake and it looked nothing like the online picture or like it did the last time I had it. It honestly had the appearance of a pre-made frozen product like I'd get at the grocery store and size wise, very small and thin. Also, the wait person we had was less than attentative to our table. I observed another gal that was doing a much more engaging job with her assigned tables and, in fact, had to ask her to send our server back with our check. Given the reputation, price and perception Airport Inn has always had in the tri-state area, I'm not sure if or when I'll be patronizing this restaurant again.

The food is good, but definitely not worth the price. I could have paid $50 less at Madrones in Frederick for better tasting prime rib.

Have eaten here many times over the years and loved it. This trip, the food was not bad, just not as good as in the past. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out really close to well done. Service was impeccable as always.
