I’ve visited this place many times in the last 10+ years because I loved the menu. In the past year I visited twice and found the quality of the food has decreased. The menu is still pretty exciting but the presentation is not great. Think TGI Fridays. I understand that in this area it’s difficult to sell daring menu items so I can’t knock them for the menu changes. I ordered the crab cakes and wouldn’t recommend them. They were fairly small and no chunks of crab meat....
I have to say you must get a date to get to Riks.. I had the Rikarita, cream of crab and the Turkey sandwich. The Rikarita has the Grand Marnier cognac, omg , so good. The small cup of cream of crab was such a fresh crab taste and the blueberry brie turkey sandwich is always good.
Three and a half stars. We wanted this place to be great so that we could have another favorite place in the area. We got there n weekday for an early dinner. We were seated promptly and served by a nice friendly young guy. Our drinks were OK, the hazy IPA choice was a little weak, and my wife had to ask for more chocolate in the chocolate martini in order to taste chocolate.
