Been trying to come here for some time from Northern VA but the drive stopped many attempts. Finally made it because there is NO German food in NOVA. This place hit! The schnitzel was delicious and portion was just right, fiancée loved her stuffed cabbage. We will be back! Great decor and service as well.

Quaint German restaurant with delicious food and easy parking. They have been here since the early 80s but I only just found them. I need to get out more, lol.

This building had an old school vibe. The restaurant had an amazing french onion soup for only $7. Our waitress was friendly and courteous.

The food was phenomenal and the staff was very nice and happy to seat and serve you. I had the saurbraten which was so tender and delicious all you need is a fork. Wife had the stuffed cabbage which was very good too. Ice cold Hofbrau on tap! If you want authentic German this is the place to go.

Food was good. It was not cheap but it was to be expected for a higher end restaurant.
Service was very good and dessert was delicious.

I went to Munich a number of years ago. This restaurant has the great food I experienced there. And they have draft beers that I enjoyed there that I’ve never found anywhere else. They have great service and the decor reminds me of my vacation to Bavaria. They even make their desserts in house!

Should be a 5 star restaurant across the board. Service is great. Small rooms provide very pleasant atmosphere. Fried camembert with plum sauce is unique and delicious. Goulash soup is deep in flavor. Love that you can select the entree sides. My favorites are the sauerkraut and dauphine potatoes. Spātzle is okay but next time will try with the Rahmsauce. I did not care for the bacon wrapped green beans but two others at our table really liked them. Beans were cooked nicely but bacon was not, for me. Just a pedestrian dish. Pork shank, must order 24 hours in advance except on Wednesday, was a HUGE disappointment! Two of us had ordered it and agree. The skin was not basted so instead of delicious crackling it was hard as a ROCK. Shame. Once you get past that the flavor was good but required more sauce than provided. Unfortunately their cakes are a waste of money, even the special carrot cake. It was just okay but the icing only tasted of butter not cream cheese. However, if you order the apple streusel with the warm vanilla sauce that is served over the strudel instead of ice cream you will not be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and make plans to dine here and bring your friends and family. They will thank you. Great lunch menu too!

Had dinner with 6 of our friends tonight. Never been there before. Beer was great as well as the food during dinner. Dessert was also excellent. Server and rest of the staff were great. Perfect dinner evening with our friends. Will be coming back here again in the future. Thanks.

Very clean, great customer service, food was great. I was looking for hasenpfeffer German rabbit but they don't have it, a very good dinner combo for two, good portions, very very good potato soup. My mother from Germany loved it

We stopped here for lunch on a rainy winter day. The few staff on premises seemed a bit overwhelmed by a large party of two at another table, or perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed.

We enjoyed our lunches in the authentic and quaint atmosphere (sauerbraten on special) but somehow a bit more effort on the part of management might go far here.
