Amazing find, my spouse is a chef at The Red Horse Steakhouse in Frederick, we love trying new places. The food was outstanding, the environment was unique and gives you an authentic experience. Our server Steven was an absolute delight. We will definitely be back for sure! Highly recommend.
Unique dining experience for German food.
Outside is confusing, we approached from the right side of the building. The door was fenced off and the patio was full of old Christmas decorations. We thought the restaurant was closed, so we were walking to the bar next door when I noticed a 2nd door and an open sign.

On my way to Florida from New England, I planned my route through Hagerstown just to try this restaurant. Fortunately, I had made a reservation. The place was jamming and for good reason. Their German food is delicious and reasonable, and the portions are healthy. I wished I lived closer. There's no good German food in New England.
