My wife and I wanted Caribbean food yesterday so we decided to go to The Real Deal but they were closed. We called Taste of Reggae to make sure they were open and the friendly gentleman who answered told us they were so we decided to give them a try. When we walked in, there was a guy in front ordering so we thought they would ask him to move down so we could put our order in but that didn’t happen. The ladies just made us wait until they checked him out, put food together and give to him before even acknowledging us. Once we walked up to the counter, the lady did not greet us and had a funky look on her face but I tried to ignore that and nicely said “hi” just to get a rude and dry hello back. I immediately looked to my wife and said “let’s go! I will not spend my money anywhere where the employees are rude”. I went back in to tell the lady about her attitude and that we would not be spending our money here. We have family in town and planned to spend a lot of money. I called back up to speak to the gentleman who said he would talk to her which I hope he does. I am tired of certain types of women working in the food industry with nasty attitudes, this is your job. We will never go back to this place! I will drive to Frederick or DC to get good Caribbean food!

Went in for a new years meal with my friend. It was a great experience! We had the jerk chicken with 2 sides. The service was excellent the man at the counter was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was great with reggae music playing.

Second I walked in I was greeted to aromas I’ve never smelled before, that made my mouth water immediately. Never had Jamaican food but my first time with this restaurant was nothing short of the most delicious food I’ve ever had. I would recommend it to all of my friends and family, and my wife and I will now be eating here frequently. The hospitality was just the icing on the cake, they could turn your horrible day wonderful with just one word. Thank you!

Wait time was absolutely ridiculous, I ordered ahead and still waited 25 mins for my order, meanwhile 2 others came in and placed an order and received theirs before me. Horrible customer service. I guess because I’m not a normal customer they just ignored my order.

Microwaved re-heated food. We ordered some food today since last time we had a decent experience but today was a little different. The food flavor for the curry chicken is good and the macaroni and cheese however the food is old. It looks old, taste old and idk what happened to the ox tails. They are black tasted microwaved and old with a whole bunch of fat on them. A little disappointed in the quality of food for what you pay.

We went there this evening to give it a try. We ordered the jerk chicken, plantains, and the rasta pasta! It was delicious!! It took me back to our honeymoon when we were in Jamaica eating Jerk chicken and plantains with a red stripe at a little roadside restaurant deep in the heart of Jamaica. We will definitely be back, the owner is super friendly and we enjoyed the food and service!

Service is dope the owner has great customer service he is very friendly. I can tell her cares about the customers. The food was good but to spicy on the cabbage to much paper the peas and rice could be flavored a little better but the current goat was delicious. Need to work on the too much peeper on the vegetables almost to spicy for me to eat I accidentally mixed this place up with the other reggae spot on Franklin then food taste better in my honest opinion but over all this is not a a bad second choice as he will allow you to sample the other place does not and he has wonderful customer service.

Kid-friendliness: He seemed very kid friendly which is good
