This was my first time here. They have a large selection of flavors. There is both regular ice cream and soft serve. Prices are good, and the soft serve was tasty. I was disappointed that the inside seating was closed since it was a rainy day. We ate in our car and it was still yummy.

The Big Dipper. A Hagerstown classic! They have a lot of options for soft serve and hand dipped ice cream. There are revolving specials, and I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered here! I also appreciate that their kid sized cup/cone is actually kid sized. So many other ice cream shops give too much for kid sizes, but I know I can count on an appropriate size for my little one here. Plus, they are always quick to sling scoops, even when they're slammed with a line. FYI: The inside of their store has been closed since COVID, but customers can order through the walk up windows. There is not a drive thru here, and the parking lot isn't huge, so when they're busy it can be difficult to find parking. There are also only four tables outside to sit on. Another note; there is no bathroom available for customers. I've been visiting the Big Dipper since I was a kid and now I get to take my kiddo here. Their pink ice cream cone sign is my favorite detail of their shop--I hope they never change it! 😋🍦

One of the best ice cream joints in Hagerstown. The staff already know what I order and how I order it - I feel like Norm in Cheers. My only concern is their listing of 'sugar free' products which are not sugar free - if you're eating your carb intake or are diabetic, then be mindful.
Pure coconut ocean and Superman, not to be confused with play-doh. Absolutely delish. The friendly neighborhood cat people kept feeding pup cups too was living its best life too. Nice mom and pop feel and great ice cream!!
