The Meadows Original Frozen Custard

I had been in the mood to find good frozen custard for a while and there's nothing in my town, so while I was in Hagerstown decided to stop by here. Absolutely hit the spot - the custard is delicious and definitely very reasonable portions and prices. I had the cookie monster special and it was great. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

I’m giving 4 stars instead of a lower rating because of the longevity of your small business. However I am giving this constructive criticism in hopes that something changes. I paid over $6 for a very small cup of vanilla custard with a squirt of caramel and chocolate sprinkles. I almost handed it back and wish I had. It was already starting to melt . By the time I got to the middle of the cup, it was basically ALL liquid. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it prior to eating it halfway. This has happened to me the past 3 visits. If I come again, I am not accepting this already melting custard. These prices are way too high to not get FROZEN custard. And why is it so costly for plain vanilla custard with a squirt of caramel and chocolate sprinkles? Probably one of the most boring orders of all. Next time I guess an additional $3 to get something more fancy and such would possibly be worth the bucks. I am also tired of hearing about the costs of minimum wage and inflation etc… we as customers don’t want to constantly hear that from business owners. We get it. And we are still paying customers so please don’t serve very expensive Melting “frozen” custard. Thank you.

Best icecream from the area. You have a good selection to pick. The place also is very clean well maintained. I'll recommend to everyone. My kids love it.

We didn’t actually try this place! We have been wanting to for a while. Last night we decided to go! When we pulled up, we were looking at the menu. This is probably the most expensive ice cream place anywhere within 100 miles. I’m sure it is delicious, but it is not worth it to me to get a small ice cream with one topping for over nine dollars after tax. You can go to the Big Dipper, Rita’s, Mikie’s, or Scoops on the square all for half the price. That’s how you know they’re just over charging and this isn’t due to inflation! Unfortunately we left and went to the Big Dipper. We spent $11.59 total for 2 small sundaes there. These are even higher than prices than you’d find at a place with unique and homemade gourmet ice cream(Like Salt & Straw, not a small bowl of soft serve topped with crushed Oreos. I’m from LA and even the fanciest ice cream shops charge like $7 for a small. Won’t be back, absolutely not worth the price. No ice cream/soft serve/custard is worth these prices.

I love Meadows, and so does my dog, Justice! I go there with him every time I can.

Hands down the best custard that I have ever had. I don't say this lightly either. Absolutely fantastic taste, temperature, flavor, consistency, finish, I'm running out of wasted describe this amazing dessert. Go out and get some as soon as you can! But drive safe.
