Tropical Smoothie Cafe

We arrived at the Tropical Smoothie on Garland Groh in Hagerstown at approximately 6:00 PM, even though the store does not close until 9:00 PM. Despite this, the restaurant appeared to already be shut down, with equipment closed and staff clearly unhappy that we were there. Chairs where on top of the tables and counters, everything was put away, they rolled their eyes and huffed and puffed. The employees openly expressed frustration, spoke about us within earshot, and handled our food carelessly, essentially throwing it down. When we politely said “thank you,” we were met with eye rolls rather than basic courtesy. This level of service was extremely unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome. If the store cannot properly serve customers during posted business hours, the closing time should be adjusted accordingly.

The lovely ladies here in Hagerstown always go above and beyond and Kayla did an awesome job with customer service and my order thanks to this location I’ll be coming back.. they know how to make a great bowl

It was really just customer service for me. Walked in this evening at 18:40 ish. I smiled and waved at the two ladies who were behind the counter, on their phones. Neither hardly smiled. Did not speak. I picked up my mobile order and left. They likely would not have said anything had I not wished them a good evening. And only one spoke. Didn’t even look at me. Weird behavior when working in customer service. First time visiting this location in the evening. Traveled 30 minutes. I likely just wouldn’t recommend coming here around this time.

I stop into this location regularly and place a custom order. I have received exceptional service everytime. The workers are always polite and helpful, and they never slack on quality. I highly recommend this location.

Never had an issue with my orders in the past until today! Didn’t make it the way I asks and refused to make it right or refused to refund me my money. They will not get my business anymore!!

What in the hell

I’ve been a regular here for a while and truly love their smoothies. We usually come once, sometimes even twice a week. But today was just not it.

When we walked in, two girls were at the front: one was making smoothies while the other was just chatting with someone who seemed to be her boyfriend or friend. We waited for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. After finishing her conversation, the girl walked right past us without a word and went to the back. Eventually, another girl came out. no greeting, nothing, just took out her AirPods and stood there looking at us. I gave her my order, and when she was done taking the order she just put her AirPods back in and went to the back.

While waiting, we noticed the girl making smoothies ran out of açaí. Instead of getting more, she added extra water to the mix. When we got to the car and tried them, they tasted more like water than anything else, barely any flavor.

We went back in and asked for a refund, but were told they don’t do refunds. They offered to remake them, but there was a line forming and they looked rushed, so we declined. We then asked for a gift card instead and were told they don’t do those either. At that point, we gave the smoothies back since we weren’t going to drink something that wasn’t good.

We asked to speak to a manager, but were told there wasn’t one available. When we asked for the manager’s name to follow up, they refused to give it. We also asked the name of the employee we were speaking with, and she wouldn’t give us that either. Saying she wasn’t allowed.

It was incredibly frustrating to go back and forth over something so simple. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but after this experience, I won’t be returning.

I first was to say thank you for such a better choice for food on the healthy note. Love the company and everything it stands for.

I have to make a complaint about the location in hagerstown MD. You currently offer the Ohana smoothie for limited I believe. I have to drive about 35 minutes to your location cause there hasn't been one opened in my area yet.
It is advertised in your store for a kid size 5.99 and a bigger size for 7.99. I wanted a large one, figured like all your smoothies I would love it.
The cashier said she couldn't do it because they weren't making the large ones. She then proceeded to say we can make 2 small ones.
I know they weren't out of cups, it was just an inconvenience for me to have to purchase 2 items which would cost more than 1 cup.
I think the large size should have been covered up, if you chose not to sell it. Gas isn't cheap and someday's i have to treat tropical smoothie as a luxury snack instead of it just being a better choice for me.

Grabbed a quick snack with my fiancé while waiting for the bus. They have Great music, its clean & they have great service. 10/10 recommend! I'll definitely be back to try more stuff.

I really liked the mocha coffee smoothie but it is rather expensive ($8+) it was huge though and I couldn’t finish it.
Service was fast and friendly.
