Guiness Brewery Road Way Express

Quite the change from when we were there two weeks ago. We were seated at a table, given menus, then crickets! No server came to our table with water, asked if we had questions, nothing. Our menus were never removed from the table, they sat there the entire meal. Because we have been to the TapRoom before, we knew we could place an order through our phone, provided the connection worked (one time we were there it would not connect). We were able to ask for water when my husband's beer was served. The appetitzer was brought out the same time our main meal. When we ordered dessert, we moved out meal's dishes out of the way. Eventually a server came to our table and asked if we needed carry out boxes as he saw food remaining on the plates. This was the only time someone approached our table without somthing we had ordered in his hands. Had this been our first visit, it would have been our last. Definitely not up to standards we have had before.

If you insist your customers use the QR Code menu, you should probably make sure it works.

Entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beer are all terrific. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Don't miss the Open Gate chores. We are repeat visitors- worth the 1.25 Hour drive!

Overall, it was fabulous!! Service was a little confusing but everything did come out as ordered! Loved the honey graham ice cream!!

Hostess provided a relatively quiet table for 8; helped make the evening farewell gathering special. Service was great. Thank you!

The food is consistently good and the service is exceptional! The video and the audio on the Jumbotron with the football game was clear. My wife and I had a pleasant afternoon.

I love The Taproom at Guinness Open Gate Brewery, but on my most recent visit it fell short of my expectations. Despite having a reservation, the unannounced arrival of a local youth soccer team seemed to throw the entire establishment into disarray. The shrill screaming of young, unsupervised children was apparent throughout our meal. Appetizers were more than 30 minutes to the table after placing our order. After selecting the Saturday special "shepherd's pie" for my entree, 25 minutes after ordering, an unidentified female arrived at our table, declared the dish "didn't meet her taste expectations," and demanded I select another entree as she would not be serving what I ordered. Reluctantly, I did. The food was fine, minus my order, but the speed of service and overall atmosphere was one more of a shoddy kid's birthday party than a prestigious brewery's dining room. Maybe don't allow ANY guests under the age of 18? And be sure your chef can cook the daily special correctly...and the server, in the event they cannot, at least lets the table know what's not available to order upon their arrival? So much love, but also so many basic things that went wrong...do better, Guinness!

We were just in Dublin this past May and sampled many a pint, so wanted to check out the brewery here in the Baltimore area. We tried some new stuff and had a great afternoon just tasting some brews and getting a bite to eat. We will be back to do the tour!!!

The service was horrible. We ordered 4 drinks and a pretzel without issue. We then ordered another round of 4 drinks, 1 pretzel, 2 fish tacos and a double burger (over $100 spent). Everything came out minus the double burger. I was thinking the burger would be coming out shortly. When it didn't I had to flag down a server to find out what was going on. She said they were having a problem with the burgers. After about 49 minutes our guess was finally able to eat (after we had already eaten). Of course the burger came without ketchup, that whole issue took another 15 minutes. What a fiasco! For $100 totally not worth the money! You would have thought since we had already finished our drink by the time our guests food came out, you'd offer to comp drinks...but no. Horrible customer service!

Food was good! Our server Z as he told us to call him was wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!

Stopped in with a group of friends, everyone ordered for themselves on the app. This made it easy and enjoyable. We could focus on socializing.

Very clean facility with great service, at the shop, taproom and the brewery tour. Tried a few surprisingly good tropical experimental flavors. The stew was amazing.
