Had high hopes trying to get breakfast but after waiting an hour for an omelette with a side of home fries and a plate of steak and eggs, we had to walk out. We got there early before the rush but watching multiple tables come after us and eat and being told “it’ll be out soon” multiple times I was ready to go. I’m sure it’s amazing but needs better kitchen time management.

Order the hot roast beef sandwich and cheeseburger. Both were excellent - especially the hot roast beef - was homemade not processed sliced lunch meat like most places use. Restaurant was clean and service was friendly. For being farm to table, the prices were great!

I was camping nearby with my son and decided to only eat out and no camp cooking. I did t know what to expect but the food was hot and delicious. Great portions as well! Roast beef Sammy and the pasta was delicious 😋

Recently ate breakfast there, (horrible) my toast was hard as a rock as were my wife’s waffles. Ask for medium rare steak with my eggs and got medium!! Re-heated toast and waffles? Have eaten lunch there and food was really good, change who cooks or was it because it was right before lunch and served “leftovers” from breakfast?🤷🏼‍♂️

We had the grilled fish. It was perfect. I was going to take a picture but was so hungry, I forgot. It is a huge piece of fish so my husband & I shared it.

Cheese steak was great, French fries were good, and the cheesecake for dessert was good.

Good food and excellent service. The fried fish was crispy but not greasy and it was served piping hot. The two sides were generous portions. My husband had coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I had coleslaw and beans. The coleslaw was good.... sweet and crunchy. Our friendly waitress, Stacy, was at our table with menus and took our order right away. I would recommend Potomac River Grill.

Stopped here on the way home and will definitely stop by again! Food was delicious - we had cheesesteak, turkey sandwich with gravy, and the turkey and stuffing special. Perfect for an early fall day! Very generous portions at a great price.

This place uses their own raised and butchered meat for their meals - steaks, hamburgers. Delicious burgers. You cannot beat the price - $10 for hamburger and fries - you pay the same or more at a fast food restaurant and this place is so very much better. Great wait staff. Didn't try desserts but they looked delicious. It had a diner feel but does have a bar with bar stools.

Fact; they use their own beef cattle for the steaks and burgers so freshness is a guarantee.

Vibe is from yesteryear with the front area having a bar and cool 50’s feel with the white and red plastic chairs with white tables. Looked to be a back area but didn’t check that out. It may get a bit loud at the bar depending on the game on the TV. It was overly cold for some reason where we sat (wife needed a jacket). It reminded me of what we called a ‘greasy spoon’ eatery like I used to work at when I was younger. It may not fit all demographics but it suited mine fine.

I got a Bacon BBQ Burger with my Yuengling while my wife got a 6” Steak and Cheese with an Unsweetened Tea. I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't wait to dive into my burger. The taste reminded me of a backyard BBQ with the burger right off the grill. My wife really enjoyed her shaved steak sandwich. Using local beef (especially your own cows) is the only way to go.

With tip, it came just to $36. The funny story was that my beer 🍺 was the same price as her tea 🤣 I love local places 👍 If our travels pass by Hancock MD, we are definitely be stopping for grub here again!
