“We stopped on our way from home from Ocean City Maryland never been here before and it was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and gave us a few suggestions. I had the cheesesteak and my husband had the crab cake salad. It wasn't a fried crab cake either. Delicious lunch. We will be back.”

“A kitschy, quaint, down-to-earth establishment just off the interstate, the Western Maryland Rail Trail and the C&O Canal. The exterior is bright and friendly, inviting you in. Eats, drinks, and antiques (oh, and soft serve!?). Something for everyone. The menu is as unique as the charm. I had a fried bologna sandwich that was elevated(think caramelized onions and pineapple and a zippy sauce) beyond the classic favorite's dreams! Everyone at our table enjoyed what they ate. As the music played, the bike riders, the locals, the wanderers - like we were, all rub elbows in the open air seating(plentiful) and inside there were several little nooks of seating as well. Social distancing and masks apply. Seemingly dog friendly. I'll be going back, without a doubt. ✌”

“Fast and friendly spot to grab a sandwich. Located along the C&O Canal and Western Maryland Rail Trail. Easily accessible from I-70 and US 522. Plenty of parking. Located beside town park and pavilion if you'd like to dine outside and traveling with kids or pets. Don't forget to get a couple delicious fresh baked cookies for dessert. Raspberry Cheesecake cookies are delish!”

“We really miss our Hardee’s in Breezewood, PA since it burned down. Wish they would rebuild but doesn’t seem likely. Love the mushroom and Swiss burgers. We will be back soon. Just not as often as we used to due to the distance.”

“This location is great because it's in a small town, safe area, friendly staff and clean restaurant. However, the only complaint I would have is that the food isn't always hot and the wait is a tad longer than usual. “Had my bday dinner and tge following day lunch at Mary's! The dishes are oh so tasty, as if your lived one prepared them for you. You feel the nutrients, warmth (literally and figuratively as some of the dishes were with a spicy kick to them) and beauty as you devour Mary's creations. We tried probably 75% of the menu. My favorite are dumplings and avocado rolls. The presentation of each dish is whimsical. And, the service is very personal, attentive yet not intrusive. It's a MUST if you are 8n the area. Do your health a favor, especially if the purpose of your trip is mineral water Springs therapy.”

“Visiting from out-of-town and snagged a reservation. So glad we did! Comfy surroundings in a former house with 18-20 tables inside and a patio for summer. It’s prix-fixe, 3 courses, so we were already anticipating an excellent experience, and it did not disappoint. Multiple choices for each course, and then there were daily specials! We dined on shrimp cocktail, which was topped with olive tapenade and served over a horseradish-tomato vinaigrette and a lovely lobster bisque with a mini crab cake on top and crème fraiche. Entrees were a crispy duck with rosemary gratin potatoes and a most unusual mango pear chutney, and a fabulous hanger steak with mash and mushrooms with crabmeat. That hanger steak set the bar for any future entrees! We were groaning thinking about dessert, but the flourless chocolate torte and a strawberries and cream crème brulee were the perfect end to the evening. The staff was outstanding and friendliness and service. We will make it a point to return! Bravo!”

“Dear Mr. Anonymous, who "escorted" me out the door last night after demanding that I move my truck. I am 77, have two bad legs and knees (5 operations with metal inserts), had never been there before, and saw a car parked next to the building. I parked there, too. There were NO signs indicating the space as a no parking area. Put up a sign so old guys like me will know. I had to drive out to 522 to access Mercer Street, which you have now cut off as "private property". How can that be, when it was an open, two-way street I used for years before you fenced it off? I don't have a cell phone or facebook or any of that other crap that "everyone else" has that magically puts someone in the know: "You're the only one". You may have the best burgers in town - as I have been told - but I'll never know. I'll NEVER return, and hope we never cross paths again. Have a nice day.”

“We had lattes, a cheese Danish, and a muffin. Everything was really good.... especially the lattes. The woman taking orders was extremely friendly, but in a down to earth, genuine way. She was patient with us as we took our time deciding what we wanted. I would absolutely recommend this spot for breakfast, lunch, or a quick bite.”

“We rent a cabin in the area and wanted a quick and easy dinner on our first night. This place hit the spot! We had three different kinds of pizza. They were their special deep dish, cheese and pep with regular crust, and stuffed crust with cheese, pep, and sausage! They were all great. It was easy to order online, for a text message, and they were ready to be picked up.”

“Stopped in on our way through town and was surprisingly impressed. The decor is fresh, uplifting, and very kid friendly. They have a small candy store to one side and a place for little ones to play dress up. Definitely a cross between an old school ice cream shop vs Disney feel (maybe it was just the Disney music playing overhead). Either way, we very much enjoyed our food and dessert. Will be making this a regular stop when we pass through. ..... FYI, the food looks just like the pictures and tastes even better.”

“The BEST ice cream in Morgan County! The best quality, best varieties between things you can get w/ flavors galore & the best prices around! We are quite spoiled & visit on avg 3x a wk since we live within a very short drive of here. I can't say enough how much we love having our desserts from here! They have picnic tables to sit & enjoy your ice cream,a grassy area for kids & pets to run,play about. Everyone is always friendly. You can eat in your car or if you're close like us, you can enjoy it at home. After supper/dinner time (7pm-9pm) seems to be the busiest times but even then the line moves quickly.”

“Great experience. Some good and some bad things. I'll start with the good. My waitress was super friendly and nice. She tended our table multiple times. Food was good but the steak was a little tough. Specials don't start til 5 which the menu didn't indicate. But the steak special was unbeatable. $20 for a steak, salad, side, potato, and roll. Husband got the chicken cheese steak. He said it didn't have much flavor. Lighting was very dark. But overall a decent experience. And as a jersey girl the hillbilly name and vibe caught my attention cause deep down I'm a southern girl. ?”

“This place is amazing!! The food was incredible, the people who worked there were soooo nice and friendly, the atmosphere was great, the inside is so beautiful and there is the newer touchscreen version of "jukebox" u can pay n play songs n they have a pool table.... It was absolutely awesome. We also bought some ice cream, I got 1 scoop in a waffle cone n let me tell u 1 scoop is all u need! She packed the waffle cone full, I literally ate half n had 2 ask for a cup 2 put it in 2 save for after eating.... My husband got a milkshake which was pretty good size, he didn't even finish his. The burger was huge n soooo good!! The amount of food u get is huge in my opinion and the prices r well worth the amount u get plus the taste! Hands down loved it!!! Will definitely b back that's for sure!!!”

“Nice, quiet quaint restaurant. The breakfast was really good and or server Paige was very prompt and friendly. Thank you Paige.Lunch at the Morgan Tavern. Heather our server was great. We had the tuna salad sandwich on toast with chips and pickle. Also, had a bowl of red pepper red gouda cheese.Parking: Parking was not an issue, perhaps if there are a lot of guests, it could prove more difficult.”

“Had a few drinks, no food yet. Will try that another time. Was a perfect drop-in place for a unplanned relaxed couple drinks out for football that reminded me of Southern MD or Deep Creek locals' bars -- not super crowded, not chain, and not pretentious. Come as you are and have a great time. Friendly locals, good strong pours, and right around the corner from our cabin.”

“We ordered a large brisket order by the pound for a very special family event and everyone was simply delighted! The meat was tender, juicy and such a delicious flavor! Our guest kept asking if we made it! Lol! Bob and family were very nice and helpful with our preorder,(a week in advance due to the size of the order). We can't wait to order the ribs next time. I would highly recommend it it's in a perfect part of the town the staff was super friendly and while you're waiting inside there is a lot of really neat pictures and colorful nice layout and atmosphere. “We went into this shop, ( which is located inside Lighthouse Lattes), to buy a special dessert to celebrate our anniversary. After helping us choose these beautiful cakes, one of the wonderful women there gave us this amazing cupcake "on the house" to congratulate us on our anniversary. I cant get over how sweet that was, how much it meant to us or how nice & friendly all the women in there were. I only wish we were staying longer so we could go back again.
