Sinclair was a great host. The rooms were huge and breakfast was delicious. From the finish room, you look right over the trail. There was plenty of hot water for after a long day on the trail and the place was centrally located. Ask Sinclair to show you some of his art.

Sinclair has thought of and provided every need we bikers have. Everything from washing and storing bikes safely overnight to free washer and dryer usage, comfortable and clean accommodations, a good breakfast, and warm hospitality. A bikers dream come true. And last but not least, a bike shop just several blocks away.

Thank Sinclair for a great experience. After more than 5 hours cycling we needed a clean and comfortable place. Riverrun was like being at home. THANK YOU Sinclair! I highly recommend this place....do not look any further and book here. A+

THANK YOU to my host. I got into Hancock late in the evening after a very long and muddy ride on the C&O Canal Towpath - I was so thankful to arrive to an area where I could hose off my bike, bags, and body, and also store my bike safely. I also had the best shower of my life, and the host was so kind and provided extra bags for my things and allowed me to do a load of laundry as everything I owned was covered in mud / wet. The breakfast the next morning made me feel like I was just having breakfast with friends and it was absolutely lovely. The home itself was right along the canal, and so accessible to the trail. I would absolutely recommend this bed & breakfast.

Sinclair and Susan graciously welcomed our last minute reservation when we were looking for a place to stay on our cycling trip along the C&O. We were made to feel very welcome by Sinclair. Riverrun has all the amenities and comforts a cyclist or hiker (or anybody else, for that matter) could want. It's all spelled out very clearly on their website, so I won't go into the details. The house is very comfortable and beautifully but simply decorated - nice clean lines and furnishings (rather than "doilies" haha). I would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location - this bed and breakfast is located right on the Western Maryland Rails to Trails Bike Trail providing easy access to it, as well as the C&O Canal. Rooms are very nice and breakfast was prepared every morning by the owner. The Inn also has a basement storage area for your bikes and other equipment. Lots of parking for those driving up from DC, Maryland or Virginia. The owner provides maps, trail guides and even first aid supplies should you run into a deer while on the bike trails. And don't forget to check out the library to take in some beautiful views, or just to relax and read a book.

I stayed here in February, definitely off-season - I was the only guest in the place, yet Sinclair couldn't have been nicer - I was exhausted from a hard day of driving across the country, so he graciously took my bike down to the storage spot for me. He was kind enough to put some hard-boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, etc for me in the fridge, and the coffee was plentiful. I had a restful, easy stay. I was in the single room, and it was spotless, as are all walls, floors, kitchen, etc in this guest house. The B & B has two nice enclosed porches overlooking the canal, with the Potomac river close by. The nearby bike shop was also helpful the next day - I know some groups of cyclists do stay here, but it is also a wonderful spot for the individual or couple cycling on the Western Maryland Rail Trail or the C & O towpath. Highly recommended!

We were biking the C & O Canal, my husband, our 50-something son and daughter and a friend. We were the only guests at the B & B but were treated like royalty. Sinclair Hamilton, the co-owner let me and the other "sag" driver hang around while our bikers peddled from Little Orleans (where they left off the day before) to Hancock. He had also graciously said that our bikers could stop in on their way past and come in for tea, coffee and snacks. The accommodations on the second floor include a wonderfully comfortable sitting room, right on the canal, where we could see our bikers when they arrived. I would stay there again any chance I have.
