Place was slow yet took several minutes for waiter to greet us. He was busy talking with a group of servers. The waiter was friendly and nicebut not trained well. He didn't know what a loaded baked potato was and brought my salad out with my dinner a ameture mistake. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms. Very greasey and small not worth the $20 for 4 .Broiled scallops were very good cooked perfect. Most disturbing was the black mold all over the ceiling tiles in mens bathroom....
We returned to the Bayou after 18 months of Covid precautions and it was wonderful! Although I usually get seafood or other items, I tried the flank steak. It was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious. My dining partner said he had some of the best fried oyster that he had ever tasted. We shared a bottle of wine and celebrated a great night out! Our server was attentive, but not overly so. The portions were very large. Overall a great time and well worth it!
Visiting for the weekend from out of town and chose the visit tje Bayou as we were looking for some seafood and a comfy place. Husband and I each had a ceab imperial dish that was topped with a mustard creamy sauce - it was a surprise at first bite, but really very good. We had a great meal for reasonable price, if we come back to area we'd go again!
