We order boba here regularly. The flavors are not too sweet, and pretty unique compared to many other boba places around. I am not sure what the entrees are like yet (we will dine in soon!) but we recommend getting a sweet boba treat from here! The colors are fun, too. My favorite is their honeydew flavor. Their taro is exceptional! I will edit the review once we try the meals.
Edit: the meals are good, not great!
The service is kind or neutral, and efficient.
The atmosphere can vary depending on the time of day (noise coming from outside gets louder at night). Generally it is peaceful, quiet, and pleasant even at night, with some exceptions.
I went here with a former friend back in late June 2024. The chicken was sooo good and I actually got full off the wings and pickled radish, which is rare for me. The vibe was fancy and I loved that the workers were Korean.
I should’ve listened to the reviews , not worth coming here service sucks. Server was burping right after she turns around taking our order so not very friendly. Place smells too I didn’t even want to order more food. She brought me a thing of ketchup that was in the Fridge
LET DOWN! I ordered an order of buldak and it was not at all what i expected, the chicken was defenetly not cook all the way, VERY CHEWY and had different color spotting. I couldn't even finish 1/4 of the meal even the chesse felt off. This is the second time I eat from this specific location and have had issues with my food. I LOVE both the locations in Gaithersbug and Germantown this location however is not something i would recommend to someone.
Never again I don’t know if they’re growing the chicken and butchering the chicken before they pluck the chicken and put it in the fryer, but this is the longest fried chicken has ever taken. Pickup time was 7:28 I didn’t get food until 7:45 mind you I ordered at 7:10
It was not a pleasant experience, the ambiance was not welcoming.
The cashier and the person dealing with my orders was not friendly and had an attitude. It took 17 mins to prepare my order to go.
The restaurant was tidy, could be cleaner.
Talking about the food:
● I orders 8 drumsticks of the spisest souce they had.
● The Mixed 6 Wings and 4 drumsticks of the milder souce.
All of them tasted the same, not spicy at all and to sweet for my taste. It could be much better.
The price is considered too expensive to the product they are providing
Would I come back? No, I would not
We ordered from here in the past and enjoyed the bone in wings! This time we tried the 30pc boneless wings and unfortunately it tastes completely different, what a let down. They are absolutely not the fresh Korean fried chicken that we expected, they instead taste like dry frozen tysons chicken bites coated with sauce. The breading is completely different from the bone in option, and its just sad that we paid $50 for this. I cant recommend this place anymore.
I usually dine in but today I did pick up. I came in was polite because I’ve worked in the food industry and said “Hi how are you I’m here to pick up and gave my name. The lady then cut me off and rudely said “What did you get!?” I repeated it and then she did the same thing with attitude. In an effort to not lose my temper I just showed her my phone and said “I got this!” She gave me my order and said “Here you go thanks. ” and rolled her eyes. I understand it was just pick up but this didn’t have to be such a rude interaction….maybe she had a bad day, but even then don’t be rude to paying customers! Contemplating on coming back.
This place is disgusting. The drinks are always flat and the food tasted varies from day to day
Dined in and done take out. Bonchon is amazing. I would recommend the lunch special 4+2 and seasoned fries. Their Lemonade is also good.

The truth is, the food is good but the customer service of the waitress who serves at the entrance and at the table is annoying and only with the phone she is very arrogant and pedantic. I will never return to this place. I had always gone to the one in Navy Yard. and the attention is very good, I do not recommend it here, terrible service

I am visiting my son and decided to have Bonchon for dinner. This was the most disappointing meal I’ve eaten in a long time. I spent $115 for dinner and threw most of it away. The chicken was overcooked and dry; the appetizer popcorn shrimp were equivalent to frozen supermarket shrimp dipped in a tasteless sauce; the seafood fried rice was white, dry, flavorless with very little seafood; the bulgogi was strings of cheap chewy beef with no flavor. The pork potstickers were the only thing worth eating. I have eaten Bonchon in other areas, so the substandard food was an unpleasant surprise. I would hate to think the quality of food is contingent on the neighborhood and location of the Bonchon restaurant. I recommend Suzie Tsai, Bonchon CEO, investigate this location to ensure the restaurant is upholding the quality of the Bonchon brand. I will never eat at this location again!
