Do not go.Very over price. No customer service. Nothing more than a fast food restaurant.
Me and my partner have been coming here for years cause the food is just unmatched, period. We’re from about 4 hours away and dropped like $200 just for us because we got food and several drinks while we were there AND got plates to go if that tells you anything, Lol. The food isn’t expensive by any means but we was being greedy Lol. Anyway, we came this time to get food to go and end up stopping by the bar. So so so glad we did because Kirsten was a wholeeee vibe. She was so attentive, great energy, great conversation, and the drinks!! Girlfriend can hook a drink up! She made our day with her great service! We always come back here but next time we’re definitely coming to see Kirsten.

The ribs were Horrible rough, fatty, chewy hard to swallow, no favor- I was absolutely disappointed at the PG Carolina Kitchen !! My dog would not even eat them I mixed it with his dry food put it in his mouth and chewed and spit it leaving the ribs but he ate his dry food and walked away From his tray. Absolutely not real meat

I'm not sure if they changed management or what but they went from a 5 to a 3. Yams too sweet, Mac and cheese consistency and flavor was off, short ribs too fatty but great flavor, corn was undercooked so stuck to your teeth. Collards, cornbread and Cabbage was good but the Cabbage core wasn't cut out so there were hard pieces. Different vibes here for sure.

I decided to visit this spot today, and I am disappointed to say the food did not settle well and ended up making me sick! While they give good portion sizes, the quality of the food is definitely not what it used to be. They put way too much pepper in the greens and mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was just okay, the chicken just okay. It's definitely not worth the high price & pain.

This location was way better than the last one I reviewed. The service was great and the food was pricey $$$.. but every bite was succulent!! Good stuff here. My only small quip here was there was no wall separating the upright unerals in the bathroom. But the bathroom was very clean. This is a good spot. This meal cost $25 before the tip.

It was my 1st time visiting, my friend recommended it because it used to be one of his favorite soul food restaurants, so I decided I'd give it a try since I was craving soul food for a minute now.
The atmosphere was very relaxing and not too loud.
Getting a place to sit was not an issue since we usually would sit at a bar instead of an open table. I requested an orange juice "was too acidy". Ordered an Old Whisky Martini "was good"
Had shrimp appetizer "was ok", cornbread appetizer "was ok",
I had spicy chicken with rice, " which was okay but could use some more seasoning & the chicken was a little bit dry" Mac & Cheese was a 6/10, and mashed potatoes were a 6/10.
The price range is really high
My friend had chicken wings along with mac & cheese (not sure what the ingredients in the wings were), he ended up having a bad reaction and ended up with swollen feet and hands.
After meds and resting he is doing a little bit better but has a slightly annoying stomach pain.
Overall, I'll say 4/10. I'm sorry but the only reason I didn't give a 1star is because the server "Kiersten" gave excellent customer service.

Menu change since my last visit and no servers . Food place in carryout container for dinning inn. I will not be visiting this chain ever again. Yours truly Chicago/Wisconsin residence!!
