We visited from Tennessee to come here obviously because we are HUGE fans of Chef Dorzon... to our absolute delight I got to fan girl and meet him!!! I am absolutely obsessed! To make the visit even better, the food was freaking phenomenal! Our waitress made our stay perfect. Not gonna lie, we will make the 8 hour drive again, just to come back to this extraordinary restaurant!
The Food is delicious especially the Char broiled oysters and the Beef Short ribs I would have gave it 5 stars but I strongly disliked the Jerk Crab cakes they need to take that off the menu. Totally ruined my night

Travelers experience was well worth the drive and money. I was celebrating my birthday weekend by visiting Downtown D.C and staying in the Maryland area for a mini vacation. Huncho House was on my bucket list to visit and to support black owned business. All I can say is it did not miss , the restaurant was everything I expected. It is small on the inside , that’s the only downside. Like you are sitting really close to your neighbors. The ambience was so sophisticated stylish. The staff was very kind upon entering the restaurant you get complimentary wine to taste. The food is super yummy and flavorful. Very expensive but I expected that because I reviewed the menu prior. Everything on the menu I heard was good , it was hard to narrow down. So if you in the area go visit and support black business.

Went here for a birthday celebration. All The food I had was outstanding. The deviled eggs, and crab macaroni and cheese were especially delicious. Our server (Telphi) did an amazing job. Timely service, great and honest recommendations, and genuinely just a genuine guy.
Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and overall experience.
Will definitely come back and ask for Telphi as well.

The food was over spiced and over priced. It tasted like chef boy R D and Ramen noodles with hot sauce poured over it. It was supposed to have lots of meat. There were a few slices of cold cuts chicken breast with imitation grill marks that you can get from a zip lock bag to pour over salad. I was very disappointed. I spent about $80 for 2 meals that tasted and looked like I could have gotten them at Aldi's for $10 total.

We had a great experience for our first visit last night. The bartender, Corey, made amazing drinks that were perfectly balanced - we had the coconut guava margarita and the new fashioned. He was also our server and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the night. The food came out hot and was so good. I had the branzino and my husband had the filet. Both were cooked perfectly. Lastly, get the ceasar salad - those croutons were so good! Everyone was very kind and it was a good vibe in there. We will definitely be back.

The food was quite tasty (crab and jalapeño fettuccine, scallops, braised short rib and salmon with crab fried rice). Cons - the space is tight. Several guests seemed to be uncomfortably squeezing between tables. The service was very delayed. It took about 40mins between our apps and entrees being delivered. Our server was attentive at first then was quite distant the remainder of the dinner (which was disappointing since the gratuity is automatically incorporated). The prices of food and drinks are higher than I would expect. Overall; the manager did recognize the delay and acknowledged which made it better.
I went to Huncho house on 7/3/25. complementary champagne was given which happen to be very good . I wasn’t impressed with service after waiting about 40 mins or more for a drink, but realized it was only 1 bartender working . But when I tell you the food made up for my disappointment . Listen the food was stupendoussss i give this place 10’s across the dam board i will drive another 3 hr drive to dine here again. Hunchooooo you did your big 1 food was A1.

My favorite Nephew treated me to a wonderful dinner at Huncho House for my Big 60th Birthday and it was delicious. Chef Tobias is so humble and extremely nice he even took a picture that made my night!!!! I highly recommend dining at Huncho House it was worth it!!

I had an incredible dining experience at Huncho House in Maryland! From the moment I walked in, I felt special — being greeted with a glass of champagne was such a classy and welcoming touch that set the tone for the evening.
The standout dish was the oxtail lasagna (limited item) — rich, savory, and full of bold, comforting flavors. I also enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was fresh and perfectly dressed, a crisp complement to the rest of the meal.
But the real star? The chargrilled oysters. They melted in my mouth like butter and were incredibly flavorful — easily some of the best I’ve ever had.
From the warm hospitality to the unforgettable food, Huncho House delivered a top-tier experience. I’ll definitely be back!
