First time there for a birthday brunch. The atmosphere is nice and the service was prompt and attentive. DJ was on point and the drinks were good. I will be back.
I went Marley’s 1st time Brunch this past Sunday. The food, drinks, customer service, and hospitality were amazing. My best friend and I had such a great time! The DJ was on point too. I live in southern Maryland, but Marley’s is worth the drive. I have found my new brunch/happy hour spot. Please check their new brunch out! You will be hooked!
The food and music was great and our waiter Kai was attentive and pleasant. We will
Be back
Yeah... it's not worth it, especially when they're charging 30% tip for barely any service.
Great food catfish and grits and the cornbread 10/10
I rarely do reviews but have been wanting to start. I’ll be sure to leave positive ones (where relevant) as well.
I found this place while searching for bartending gigs (foreshadowing) a while back and added it to my list of after-work spots to try. Went on a Tuesday evening with my mom and we decided to sit at the bar.
We were seated around 6:45pm. They took a few minutes to take our order, which is completely normal and expected. There were 3 bartenders behind the bar. One was chatting nonstop with a friend about nails and dating. Even when she was working, she was slow.
The one who made our drinks took forever. I recently graduated from bartending school, where part of the final test is making 12 drinks in 7 minutes. It took her 10 minutes to make one.
Granted, there was a short disruption because of a wasp in the bar area, which also took too long to resolve. By that point there were 4 people behind the bar. Drinks were still delayed, a couple staff were chatting over a customer’s ready drink in the service area, and at least one person was on their phone.
By the time my mom got her drink, happy hour was over—and so was I. The restaurant wasn’t busy and they clearly weren’t understaffed. I wish I could’ve tried the food, but I didn’t want to spend any more money there and had completely lost my appetite by the end.
To top it off, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity and even a 3% credit card charge. Times are hard so do what you have to do. I saw this before going, and I do tip well—especially when service is good—but because of instances like this (any really), the choice should be always mine.
Positive: My mom said her Old Fashioned was good.
Ezy was our server and took good care of us (visited late March). Overall, it was a chill time. The sauce on the wings tasted like Carolina bbq and the lemon drop was cute. I like that they have a dj and other events going on throughout the week.
Good customer service, Great food, excellent atmosphere, and music.
I really enjoyed lunch here. The frozen drink sangria swirl was a great balance of strong and tasty. Everything was on point, the service was stellar and Rasta Pasta was yummy! Music a ten as well. A hyattsville diamond! Black owned! My new spot!
I went here for a birthday party and the service was great especially for how many of us were there. However, the food was cold when it came out and the eggs lacked any flavor/seasoning. I dont recommend going here if you are vegan/vegetarian.

I have to give credit where it’s due—the food here is absolutely delicious. Every dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. If I were rating just the food, this place would easily get five stars.
However, the service was a complete disaster. The staff was inattentive, slow, and seemed disinterested in actually helping customers. It took forever to get our orders taken, and even longer for the food to arrive. When we asked for refills or anything extra, it felt like we were being a burden.
It’s a shame because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but the front-of-house experience ruins it. If management improved the service, this place could be amazing. Until then, be prepared for a frustrating experience—great food, but not worth the hassle.

We came for the Valentine’s Day, excited to try a new place. We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated and we were put right next to the bathroom and the kitchen. After about 20 minutes a server finally came to ask us if we wanted water only to return and tell us someone else would be our server. We waited about 30 more minutes waiting for someone else to say something to us and tried to catch multiple people attention. We finally got some water and drinks after an hour of waiting only to have to wait another 40 minutes to place our food order. Our server was super sweet but over worked. We sat there for 3 1/2 hours and complained multiple times only to be told that contrary to what was explained that their prefix menu was all they were offering and we had never even received anything outside of the main course. We had to take the appetizer and desert home after we had already ordered some separate my thinking we didn’t have to get the pre fixed menu because it was never explained to us that we had to …. Spend almost $300 and left with the night completely ruined. Manager did nothing to help …. Won’t be back and definitely telling anyone I know to stay away… if I ever order food… it’ll be to go …

Marley's Bar & Grill sets the gold standard for what a dining experience should be. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by an expertly curated playlist and an atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The staff here isn't just good - they're exceptional. Special mention goes to Michelle, whose attentive service made the evening memorable, and Sheena behind the bar, whose expertise and friendly demeanor elevated the entire experience.
Speaking of the bar, Marley's cocktail game is outstanding. Sheena's craftsmanship shines through in drinks like their perfectly balanced blackberry sangria and the expertly mixed rum punch. These aren't just drinks; they're carefully crafted cocktails that demonstrate real skill and attention to detail.
The culinary journey begins with their Jamaican jerk wings - an absolute knockout that sets the bar high with perfectly balanced spices and heat that will have you craving more. Moving to the main courses, their lamb chops are a masterpiece of flavor and technique - each bite offers a rich, savory experience that makes you want to slow down and savor the moment. The salmon entrée matches this high standard, with layers of delicate yet complex flavors that demonstrate the kitchen's expertise in seafood preparation. Both dishes showcase the chef's ability to create deeply satisfying, flavor-rich experiences that have you treasuring every single bite. While the accompanying asparagus was a touch salty, this tiny detail was quickly forgotten amidst an otherwise flawless dining experience. The kitchen clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows in every thoughtfully plated dish.
What truly makes Marley's special is how seamlessly everything comes together. The warm, inviting atmosphere enhanced by great music selection, the exceptionally helpful staff, the masterfully crafted drinks, and the delicious food all combine to create something more than just a meal - it's an experience worth repeating.
The entire team, from Michelle's attentive service to Sheena's expertly crafted cocktails, works in perfect harmony to create an environment where you feel not just welcomed, but truly valued. This is exactly what a neighborhood bar and grill should aspire to be.
Yours truly,
#BirthdayBoy

I had my yearly Galentines Day Brunch at Marley's for the first time yesterday. We ordered the seafood egg rolls, catfish sandwich, Marleys big breakfast, bottomless mimosas, ribeye n eggs and chicken n waffles. The food was flavorful and delicious. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I love the portion size, keep it up. The music selection by the DJ was great. This place is for the grown and sexy, such a great vibe. Shout out to Jordan he was our waiter he did an amazing job. No complaints from my group. We're already planning our next visit there.
Parking: Parking is difficult on the street. I was lucky enough to find a park on the side of the restaurant. It took me some time to get it though.
