The food was amazing. It had so much flavor and the portions were really good. If you think you don’t like vegetables, go to this restaurant and I promise you by the end of your meal you will love vegetables. They were SO good. I can’t wait to go back.

I've been to Shagga Coffee and Restaurant before, and it never disappoints. Today, I stopped by for lunch and ordered the veggie combo, which was as delightful as ever. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with traditional Ethiopian decor that enhances the authentic dining experience. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always happy to help if you're unsure about the menu.

The veggie combo was a vibrant mix of flavors and textures. Each dish had its own unique seasoning, and the injera, the soft, spongy bread, was the perfect base to scoop up the delicious lentils, greens, and other vegetarian delights. The balance of spices was spot on—flavorful without being overwhelming, making every bite a treat.

Though I’ve never tried the coffee, the food alone makes Shagga a standout spot for anyone craving an authentic taste of Ethiopian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Shagga is my fave Ethiopian. Cozy spot. Delish! Veggie combo. The beets! I’ve never seen so many veg dishes on the combo. Along with spicy lamb tibs. Perfect!

10/1/2024@3:31pm. Ordered the combination vegetable plate fir take out. My home was a 6 minute drive. My injera was cold, not warm, but cold. Half of the vegetables were also cold, not warm, but cold! I will never eat at Shagga again.

Restaurant was busy and there was only one lady working the front which is hard work so I have her 5 stars for service. Food was delicious! We got mild lamb, mild beef, mild chicken and a few of the veggies. Loved everything I put in my mouth.

The food and service at Shagga is top notch. Easily one of the best ethopian resturants I have had in the DMV area. The decor of the resturant could be updated but the service and food more than make up for it.

I usually eat in the restaurant and the food has always been fine, but I ordered take out this time, and it was barely edible.

Very terrible place one should avoid. It is a restaurant only with one sever serving guests and most likely one cook in the kitchen. Guests don’t get enough attention and order takes hours. Never visit this place again and I don’t recommend anyone to go there.
