I was so disappointed with the service. In the middle of my husband and I eating our breakfast, the manager came over and asked if it would be ok to move us to another table because they had a big party to accommodate. There is a long table right in front of the buffet that was available. Well that completely ruined my appetite. Then to make up for making us feel uncomfortable they hurriedly tried to offer us extra food to be boxed to go. I decided to approach the manager on my way out and heard the patron asking for the long table so everyone could be at the same table. I told the manager under no circumstances should she have asked us to move after we’ve been seated for 30 minutes eating. And she apologized but I don’t think she truly understood her offense. While I liked to atmosphere that experience has put a sour taste in my mouth.

I went for breakfast and the service was timely and the atmosphere was easy going & lively and each table had it's own peace.

Everything at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! The crab cream was simply amazing (rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared). The Cajun pasta was another standout, super tasty with just the right amount of spice. Breakfast is also great, and they offer a weekend buffet that’s perfect for trying a bit of everything. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Plus, they have solid options for kids, which makes it a great spot for families. Highly recommend!

Food was unexceptional and service good. We had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night. Okay for a large group. Unless you are hotel bound, I am sure you can find a better place nearby.

Phenomenal dinner and breakfast! For dinner we started with creamy thick crab soup that was awesome. They substituted Salmon for the Sea Bass that they were out of; it was served over cheese polenta with spinach and tomatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was great. My husband's Marriott Burger was cooked exactly as he requested.

My new favorite breakfast, Jumbo Lump Crab Hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, was amazing! I couldn't believe how large the crab was and how much was in the serving. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was wonderful.

I went today for a family lunch and to celebrate our younger cousin graduating from John's Hopkins U.
The restaurants severs were awesome, very attentive, and extremely professional. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was delightful.

Delicious bowl of creamy rich crab chowder with a fresh crusty roll and fresh butter was amazing and really hit the spot for lunch. Must try! I liked this place so much that I went back for dinner. My crabcakes were delicious -- lots of crabmeat, barely any filler! Finished with a great cup of coffee. Breakfast -- sirloin steak eggs, and toast. Just go, OK? :)

The Common is the hotel restaurant located at the College Park Marriott on the University of Maryland campus. I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and ordered from the restaurant several times. The restaurant serves American food in a casual, but modern setting. I really like the burger and Smith Island cake here that I got for takeout. However, I found my dine-in experience to be lackluster with slow service. Pricing is on the high side for what you get, which is to be expected for a hotel restaurant. As I was short on time, I think this restaurant served its purpose of offering food for a hotel guest. However, I would have likely ventured to a nearby local restaurant instead if not for the circumstances.

Been here many times, as it’s near my place of employment. Pricey, boring, but competent food. Great service.

Staying at the hotel and not wanting to fight traffic being out of town. Here I am, sitting at a wobbly table with tea spilt, brought my own because I thought that they didn’t have a herbal selection and they didn’t. I had looked ahead and saw the menu online, arrived here and was told menu is unavailable (buffet only)not much better than your standard Continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn except here with the service charge I paid $21. As I was sitting here digesting my food I’m realizing that fighting traffic is becoming more appealing.

Ok let me clear up that I didn't give this spot a 5 star only because it always took soooo long to get food or service. I did give it a 4 star because the food was good. The Starbucks coffee was good. The people were nice! It's a beautiful restaurant. It was just the delay in getting food, getting help and getting our check - each time. It is the only eatery at the Marriott and does have great food. The Starbucks coffee is just that - they use Starbucks coffee but it is delicious.

Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu and it's a great value! The kids get an entree + 2 sides and a drink. The servings are large!
