We are here for the first time tonight. We ordered the edamame, dynamite shrimp and gyoza which were all great. The spicy tuna sandwich was also very very good. Would order all of this again. The ramens were underwhelming. I had the shrimp tempura one, my husband ate the volcano (I liked the broth on this one way more than my own), and my kids split a regular akira ramen bowl. I thought they all lacked in flavor but the volcano one was better. We will eat here again but will skip the ramen in favor of something else on the menu. While I’m happy to pay $15-$18 for a fancy roll I thought all of their specialty rolls were overpriced at $20+

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of everything but the presentation was beautiful

Dine-in review

Overall, mediocre food.

The ramen had a nice bouncy texture, but the pork belly was inconsistent—one side was charred while the other remained undercooked (not raw, still edible) and chewy. The egg was well made with a gooey inside, but the volcano tonkatsu broth could have been richer. The volcano aspect was a dollop of chili oil/flakes placed in the tonkatsu broth that is not mixed when brought to the table. Unfortunately, the added salt or MSG was too much, leaving a layer of it at the bottom of the bowl by the end.

The karaage was acceptable in flavor and portion size, but the texture suggested it may have been prepared earlier and then flash-fried, lacking the fresh crispness you’d expect.

The restaurant’s interior was appealing, with large ropes hanging overhead and ocean-themed artwork that evoked a Japanese seaside ambiance. However, while it was nice to see that the staff kept the tables clean using general citrus-scented cleaners, the scent lingered throughout the meal, which isn’t ideal when trying to enjoy food. There was also a display near the entrance with faulty, flickering lights that detracted from the overall experience.

The service was fantastic.

Terrible service, can't say much else. Only people in the restaurant and still had to wait for our server. Way to many restaurants in the area to deal with them.

The restaurant is beautifully designed and immersive in the dining experience. Food is great and would love to come back to try different dishes.

The food was terrible today! On top of that we could hear the manager humiliating his staff .My whole family was so uncomfortable, we will not be coming here again. It’s so sad because we have been coming since they first opened. It’s not the same quality of food as before don’t waste your time!

My family and I were regular attendees here until the new owner took over. Almost every week. We brought all of our friends here. The changes the owner has made are not to our liking at all. The fried rice is now terrible. The gyoza sauce used to be amazing, now it's flavorless. The meals that we have ordered for our kids since we started coming here, we are now being told we can't order, Despite it being a very simple request. The old staff here was awesome, current staff is clueless! Will not return! I really miss the old atmosphere there! We loved this place! Heartbreaking!

Great food and good experience. The kitchen was running behind and the waiter was very communicative and even comped our drinks for us due to the overall delay.

Dietary restrictions: As someone with a shellfish allergy, the menu was well marked and I felt very comfortable eating here!

My favorite ramen restore but on my last two visits they changed the method of cooking the meat for ramen and it is harder and the taste is different they keep track of you before you finish eating.

Firstly, I'd like to leave a review on our waitress Skylarr she was absolutely incredible and gave some of the best service I've ever expirienced.
I had the volcano ramen and while it wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped for it was delicious. The Jpop alcohol cans were phenomenal.
Lastly the atmosphere was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Dietary restrictions: My girlfriend is allergic to shellfish and red meat and loved the ramen bowl that she got.

I used to go here every Thursday. They had the best Ramen and other side dishes. Not to mention the best staff. They recently changed some things and now they suck. Change the Gyoza Sauce and Fried rice back to the way it was!!!
