Moby Dick House of Kabob

Moby Dick’s is a small place we’ve stopped at before. It’s usually clean, and it’s been a convenient spot for a quick meal. My husband wanted to grab lunch here, so we stopped in.

This time, though, our table had some scraps left on it, and it didn’t seem like the staff noticed. We ended up wiping it down ourselves. The food also seemed less authentic in taste than before—more like heat-and-serve now, which was a bit disappointing.

Overall, it’s still an okay spot for a casual meal, but I wish the cleanliness and food quality were better this time.

At Urbana Mooby Dick, we ordered Chiken kebab with half salad and have rice. The kebab was so tender and tasty. The rice was so well prepared that you can even count them easily. Tara at the front desk, she was so kind and freindly. She took care of our order and brought the food to our table. We had a pleasant experience at Urbana Moby Dick. We will go back again.

The chicken kabob has been great the last couple of times I've ordered.

The problem is with the yogurt and chutney that comes with the order. One time it was warm and I didn't feel safe letting my family eat it. Now today the yogurt was cold but the made on date was missing, which again caused me to throw it away instead of letting my family eat it.

This was the second time I ordered from this place. Each time, I left the shop with a regret and unpleasant feeling about the food. The food leaves an unpleasant feeling in your mouth. The meat was not fresh. I really think it is not worth your money. Plastic silverwares are open not covered and they stay open probably for days even when they clean the shop. This place also needs a good chef.

Overall, it has a convenient location and the food is good and reasonably priced. This isn't a full restaurant. It is a carry-out place. They have a few refrigerated items, such as sides, appetizers, and desserts that you can just grab and pay without having to order them. We usually order online and pick it up. It is in a convenient shopping center with plenty of parking.

Food was fine. Placed a huge order and they didn’t include any bread. This was supposed to be included. Drove home to find out. Called twice and no one picked up.

I’ve been going to Moby’s since their first store in Bethesda. Eating at this new location it’s amazing how consistent and delicious their kabob platters are. My go to is chicken and beef and sometimes lamb with rice and grilled tomatoes. Comes with bread and tzatziki and a new sauce the original store didn’t have that’s great and adds some spice. Don’t forget to get some saffron packets which I love to use on this dish but also on plenty of other meals I eat.
