“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! Thank you all so much for proving customer service is not a dying art!”

“We love prigels so much. We go every week! Not only are the staff SO friendly but it’s family owed business and you definitely feel that love. We had a dog that was crossing the rainbow bridge so I went there to pick up some ice cream as a treat. The girl working saw me sobbing, asked and then paid for the ice cream out of her own pocket. Literally. Pulled her wallet out and paid for it. Just a small prime example as to why they’re the best!”

“My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening for a quick dinner. The employees were very kind and attentive. Our waiter took both our appetizer and entrée orders at the same time, something we usually do to save time. The food arrived quickly and was hot when served.

I ordered the Volcano Ramen, Sexy Jalapeños, and Crystal Shrimp Dumplings. The dumplings were tasty, but the sauce that came with them really made the dish, a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Sexy Jalapeños had good flavor, though the different textures and consistency could be a bit much after a few bites.

The MVP was, of course, the ramen. The broth was hot and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly, adding a comfortable level of spiciness.

The only downside was being seated by the door. If you’d like to avoid DoorDash drivers waiting nearby for pickup orders, I’d recommend asking for a table toward the back if available.”

Neither disappointed... food was delivered quickly with generous portions. I think it is supposed to be counter service, but staff was so attentive it felt like a sit down table service. “Harford Winery is an absolutely beautiful venue — warm, inviting, and the perfect setting for a special celebration. I planned a bridal shower here from out of state, and Brent, one of the owners, made the entire process seamless from start to finish.

Brent was incredibly responsive, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. He answered every question, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made sure every detail was covered. On the day of the event, he was just as attentive and supportive, which allowed me to fully enjoy the celebration without stress.

Our guests loved the space, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. I am so grateful for the care and hospitality we received and truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to host such a meaningful event. I can’t wait to return to Harford Winery again soon!”
