“I have been a Dough Run “regular” since shortly after they first opened. The food is wonderful. Unlike many other eateries, they have not gone to cheaper ingredients since the pandemic and you can tell by how fresh and tasty everything is. The sweets are amazing and if you are gluten-free they have an increasing number of items available for you. I highly recommend the gf/v “gruffins” and the lemon squares when available are not to be missed!”

“August 24. Five of us came to enjoy lunch together. Very disappointed. My ultimate grilled cheese was not ‘ultimate’. Very little cheese, no tomato, and crab cake/meat was sub par. Another lady received the wrong lunch and then had to send back her lunch when the correct order was brought. Another lady had to send back her hot fudge sundae. We were told the hot fudge was made last week! It would have been nice if a manager had come to our table. Have been coming to Manor Tavern for decades and have never been so disappointed. Am coming again in September. Hope things are a bit better!”

“We just had the best experience at this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and polite sharing lots of big smiles. We got the lamb chops which I can honestly say are some of the best we’ve had at any restaurant. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was melt in your mouth tender. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who grew up in India. He said it’s true to his memories of food from his mother land. Please give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed. “I just ate what was probably well over my 100th pit beef sandwich from Jake’s Grill in my lifetime. I am blown away by how tender the beef is each and every time.

Don’t bet on the Ravens, don’t bet on the weather, but you can bet every single time that your sandwich from Jake’s will not pull apart and fall apart because the pit beef is tough. This is the food of life.

And don’t forget the ribs which sell out every day.”

“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.”

“We love prigels so much. We go every week! Not only are the staff SO friendly but it’s family owed business and you definitely feel that love. We had a dog that was crossing the rainbow bridge so I went there to pick up some ice cream as a treat. The girl working saw me sobbing, asked and then paid for the ice cream out of her own pocket. Literally. Pulled her wallet out and paid for it. Just a small prime example as to why they’re the best!”

“I was there last weekend in what was my first outing since having major knee surgery. I showed up on crutches and a full knee immobilization brace. Without me having to ask, the waitress offered us a table that was a little more tucked away, she asked if I needed an extra chair to rest my leg on, and even put my crutches aside for me. Outstanding customer service and human kindness. The food was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.”

“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. If we weren’t sure what something was, it was explained to us so we knew what we were ordering. The spices were really amazing and perfect along with the sauces too.
