“I was there last weekend in what was my first outing since having major knee surgery. I showed up on crutches and a full knee immobilization brace. Without me having to ask, the waitress offered us a table that was a little more tucked away, she asked if I needed an extra chair to rest my leg on, and even put my crutches aside for me. Outstanding customer service and human kindness. The food was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.”

“We were driving home listening to the Ravens game when we realized we would not be able to watch it in PA. My husband drives by Lee’s often on his motorcycle and said hey, call Lee’s and see if they have the game on! So I did and this friendly man said yes it’s on and yes we have room! We came into a space clearly full of locals and long time friends. We were invited with open arms, Great conversation, and free food! They all bring food for the game to share with each other. It’s not what you generally see anywhere, it felt like home. We will most definitely go back for another game just not empty handed this time!!!! “Yesterday, I had a 'surprise" 25th wedding anniversary party for my daughter-and son-in-law. It was amazing. Everyone raved about the food. We used a "happy hour" set-up. The private room was set up perfectly. Michael and Kayleigh were attentive to any request of our guests. . The food was superb. The display was appealing to the eye. Everyone had so much fun. I highly recommend Casa Mia's for a casual dinner or a catered party. I thanks to Leah and Mark for all of their in the planning and on the day of the party. Casa Mia's made this a celebration to remember.”

“I just wanna say a big thank you to the owners and employees of J&B’s. My father is sick fighting cancer in the hospital right now, he LOVES J&B’s breakfast. I came in last week and I didn’t even need to repeat his order that I hardly knew and was stressed about messing it up, the owner, knew immediately who my father was, knew his exact specific, kinda odd order, had it done in less than 5 mins and was wrapped in foil to keep it warm for my hour drive to Hershey. After all of that, she refused payment. And said “tell Uppie to get well and this is on us”. Truly meant the world to me. I just wanted to say thank you and you really helped my heart that day, and my dad’s spirits.”

“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. Glad we got to stop by and say hello :) Best regards, hope to see you again”

“After a difficult day I wanted to treat myself to one of my favorite local meals… the decadent Fettuccine Alfredo at Paesano’s. I was greeted with a bright-eyed smile by Sara, and when she recognized my trials- she offered a hug & prayers. I won’t soon forget that! I already loved this restaurant, but having Sara to greet guests is a bonus! Thank you for showing exactly what’s great about supporting small businesses.”

“I was there today around 1:00. The girl behind the counter seems to be alone. There were a ton of orders on the screen, and she let me know my order would be a bit and offered me a refund. I told her I didn’t mind waiting. I was having an awful day - but seeing how calm she stayed despite how many orders there were , and customers she was dealing with, and she did it with a smile and so calmly. It reset my frame of mind. If she could have tha much coming at her and still be so professional and positive then I needed to be the same way. She deserves more than this recognition for how great she handled today. I didn’t get her name- but will be back and looking for her again next time I go back. 5/5 stars for service, friendliness, and overall experience. Thank you so much., and don’t change.”

“I came in for my first time for a little girls date Monday morning. The atmosphere is so cute and cozy. Love the fireplace! My cookie butter hot chocolate was delicious and so were the pastries. My only suggestion would be to get a few high chairs so I can bring my wild 2 year old again. She loved running around but Momma needed a break afterwards 😂 Looking forward to coming back!”

“Son of Sicily is a excellent place to eat, food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The main reason for this review is the excellent pizza I just ate. I just had the Grandma pizza with bacon and banana peppers, my favorite combo. It was so delicious, everything was perfect. I just found my new favorite pizza. I’ve had the same toppings on a regular pizza, but on the Grandma the sauce is sweeter and more savory. Definitely a winner! Thanks Sons of Sicily crew!”
