Karibbean Fire catered our homecoming lunch, and did an AMAZING job. We were able to have sample plates of the food we wanted way in advance to ensure we enjoyed the taste of what we would be serving. She made sure to accommodate our needs, built a menu for us, and gave suggestions on what would be best based on budget and party size. Come homecoming day our food was delivered on time, fresh, hot, and ready to be served. Food is well seasoned and the woman behind the scene are LOVELY. No complaints about the food come homecoming day. Everything was amazing throughout the entire experience!

Iâm deeply disappointed to have to write this, but I feel itâs important to share our experience. This restaurant catered our wedding, and unfortunately, over 40 of our guests that have reached out so far became violently sick. What should have been one of the happiest days of our lives quickly turned into a nightmare as we watched so many loved ones fall ill. What made the situation even more upsetting was the restaurantâs response. When the owner reached after a negative review was left, there was little to no empathy expressed and absolutely no accountability taken. Instead of genuine concern or an effort to investigate, the response felt dismissive and defensive.

I attended a wedding on Saturday in which the food was catered by this restaurant. I was so sick the entire next day. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There have been multiple individuals that were sick as a result of the meal that was provided at the wedding. There is no reason in 2025 with all of the information out here that food should be not prepared well.

Went to a wedding this past weekend that was catered by this establishment. Majority of the wedding attendees ended up sick with diarrhea the next day!! It was awful. Beware!!!

I placed an order at 6:31. The order estimated ready time was 7:17. I got to the restaurant and my food was not available until 7:50. All this for fried chicken with mac and cheese and yams and two egg rolls. 1 entree. Ridiculous!

The lady I ordered from was nice but the food wasnât good at all. My girlfriend and I both ordered curry chicken. She had rice and peas and cabbage while I had yellow rice and greens. The cabbage and yellow rice were pretty good, everything else wasnât. The chicken was undercooked as well as the rice and peas. The greens lacked flavor. I want to go back so bad but I need them to tighten up!

I arrived with a friend around 3:00 PM, and the restaurant was completely empty â not a single customer inside. We had to call someone from the back just to be served, and when the worker finally came out, the first thing she said (before we even placed an order) was that the food would take 30â40 minutes.
That immediately told me they werenât prepared, which is confusing since they opened at noon. We hadnât even said what we wanted yet, so clearly nothing was ready. We decided to wait at the bar, but no one ever came over to acknowledge us or ask if we wanted a drink while we waited.
This is actually my second time experiencing poor service here, and itâs really disappointing because I try to make a point of supporting Black-owned businesses. Unfortunately, the customer service and preparedness need major improvement before I could recommend or return.

Donât know how the food was because after I drove there I was told âbefore you place your order itâs an hour waitâ! I arrived there at 1:25pm and they opened at 12pn. I asked the young lady if anything was cooked and she said no! No one was inside waiting on food and NO FOOD was being COOKED! There were staff in there but no food being cooked! I went to LaPlata only to go there to try their Cajun salmon. It wouldâve been my first time there! I wouldnât waste my time or gas !

Itâs a little slow getting your order, but I always plan to wait longer than the estimated wait time. The food is good. If you have high blood pressure, then you probably should stay clear. Lol

We arrived there at 11:55am thinking they were going to open at 12 noon. I pulled on the door and it was locked. I waited until 12:05 , 12:15 & 12:20 the employees pull up. They didn't look like they wanted to come to work. This was our first time there so we took a seat thinking it was going to be a server to come take our order at my table. The cashier was not welcoming and didn't let us know to order at the counter. We were the only patrons there. My pasta was cold and overcooked. The chicken tastes as if it was leftover from the night before, but the shrimp was actually fresh and cooked to perfection. I wanted to support but for the price of this meal, I was really underwhelmed. The egg rolls were tasty. The customer service could use some attention. If you go, form your own opinion on the overall experience. Good luck.
