The overall ambience was great, as our party arrived early for dinner. By the time we finished our meal, the crowd was just arriving. My husband and I shared the Mussels appetizer and a large Caesar salad, both of which were good. We each ordered a crab cake which was seasoned well. The Charles is a hidden gem! The food & beverage is wonderful, and the service is great. I have gone on a night that there were not live music and a night that there was and both were great. The jazz band is excellent!

We've dined here a few times, and it's become one of our go-to spots for special occasions. The ambience is intimate and quiet, though the dining room lighting could be a bit better. Our server, Summer, was upbeat, attentive, and truly went above and beyond — she made us feel like regulars and offered great suggestions when we were undecided.
