Why would you not give me dressing for my Caesar Salad when EXTRA was requested? Also, no ranch or blue cheese as I requested. So disappointed.

Got the chickens wings ( lemon pepper ) and sweet potato waffles. The wings were giant and seasoned perfectly. I usually add hot sauce to fried chicken, but had to put it down because it clashed with the lemon pepper. Best wings in Maryland, hands down.

The waitress was great. She presented great customer service and was attentive when needed. The food was great as well.

From the moment we walked in, the service was top-tier. Jennifer took care of us and was absolutely amazing—super helpful with the menu and made us feel right at home. The food? Chef’s kiss. And taking leftovers home was a breeze, which made round two just as good later on!

My husband and I got the smothered chicken over biscuits. The serving sizes are amazing and the taste is outta this world! As a person who cooks well it is often hard for me to find a good meal but this place was a real treat! I well certainly be returning soon!

Let’s Talk About This Milk & Honey Catering Experience…

Per usual, I come with fairness and transparency. My individual dining experiences at this particular location have been consistent: food, top-tier; customer service, bottom shelf. But because I believe in giving chances—and the food really is that good—I decided to level up and place a large catering order for a very distinguished group.

I submitted this order two weeks in advance. Confirmation received. Payment processed in full. All systems go… or so I thought.

Now enter today’s chaos.

The order was scheduled for delivery. The third-party driver showed up and was told no one was available to hand it over. We tried calling the store—crickets. Thirty minutes of ringing, no answer. When someone finally picked up, I was told that no one in charge was available (because of course). They acknowledged they saw a catering order come in… at 7:30 AM—not the one I submitted two weeks ago. I sent my original confirmation, thinking this would resolve things. Nope. I was told they don’t do same-day orders and the food would not be made. Period.

No apology. No accountability. Just vibes and confusion.

Now, I believe in supporting Black-owned businesses. I really do. But what we shouldn’t do is confuse support with silence. Because what matters—regardless of ownership—is consistent service, communication, professionalism, and delivery (literally and figuratively). And unfortunately, this was a major flop.

Now one of the largest and well-respected community organization now has to consider putting you on our “Do Not Use” catering list. And that’s not shade—it’s a hard truth.

That said, in full fairness: the Bowie and DC locations? Stellar. Great service, great food, and the reason I’ve kept coming back. But this location… let’s just say it’s giving “You had one job.” And missed it.

We wanted so badly to love this restaurant. The restaurant itself is very clean and we loved the vibe. It was opening weekend at the Barracks Road location in Charlottesville, VA so I hope this review will help them improve and be successful. The portions vs. price point do not correlate. We’ve never left a restaurant hungry after paying $100 for a meal until last night.

I'm a PA resident in town visiting family and we stopped in for a bite. Food was AMAZING! and our service with Julia was top notch. She even helped a grumpy customer with class and kindness. She was great and the food again was the best I've had in a while for eating out. Very impressed.
