Went here 2 days in a row because the food was amazing. The service is very very slow. They don't clear the table until you order something else or leave the restaurant. Also, they forgot our takeout order, which took them an extra 20 mins to make again. So if you're in a hurry, it's not the place for you.

I was excited to try Amber Spice because I heard they had excellent Indian cuisine, which I love. But my experience wasn’t great. Apparently the restaurant closes between lunch and dinner, but the host did not immediately tell me that when I walked in for takeout. So while I was looking over the menu, he abruptly asked me to make a selection before the kitchen closed. I felt rushed. I ordered the Karahi, I believe. It was spicier than I expected, but decent overall. Again, not a great first impression for this restaurant, but perhaps I’ll try again in the future and hope for a better experience.

The food is delicious but every time I order take out there’s something missing. Tonight it was 3 things missing and that’s unacceptable: pickles for the aloo paratha AND garlic naan AND my chicken 65. I live so far away and work in DC, there’s no way should have to drive all the way back to Laurel to get the rest of the things I paid for but wasn’t in my bag. Ultimately my fault for trusting things were there and not unpacking the bag in front of them to double check for myself. I spent $106 just for my order to be incomplete.

My family and I went on a whim and the visit didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent, they gave plenty of bread, the service was good. When we requested items, they were right on it.
My friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was amazing. We tried the samosas, chaat, garlic naan, lamb saagwala, and the tandoori chicken. All of them were 10/10. My only suggestion would have some light cultural music playing in the background. Other than that, we both enjoyed it and plan to go again. The host and servers were amazing.

We happened to arrive at the restaurant around the closing time. The owner was very accommodating. They let the rest of the staff go home, and allowed us to take our time and finish our meal comfortably before leaving.
