My husband 60 Birthday was coming up and I wanted to catered for his party. I made an appointment with Chez Yiamme Catering and Functions. I went there and talk to Miriam, and we went over the menu I wanted. The party was on December 9th. All my guests were telling me that the food was delicious, they enjoyed it. They even took carry on to take some food home. The food was so good I did not have any left over. I will recommend to anyone who need catering for any event to go to Chez Yiamme's Catering Functions. Sunday brunch was a hit or miss; and it looked like we missed it. When I see a Haitian brunch pop up on the news feed, I'm definitely going to look into it. Finding GOOD Haitian food in the DMV area as a Haitian is almost impossible. I was excited.I went with my family to experience the vibe (2nd session). This was not it. Only trap/rap music & was told by the DJ I should have come to the first session for a more "Haitian" experience. The food was sparse- but that's what I was expecting with a $35 ticket. A little wary about trying the early session, maybe,,

WOW this is the best ever Haitian food in the world. Everything that I ate such. as the rice, griot, Pattie’s taste so good. I would recommend that place to anyone in needs of catering services.Way to go chez Yammie’s catering restaurant.??????❤️

So I held off leaving a review for this place the last time I came here to give them another chance. They did a pop-up a couple of months back and it was a nightmare. I placed my order in advance for a specific pick up time and did not receive it till after about 3 hours. There were quite a few other people in the restaurant waiting for hours to get their orders as well. Some even got refunds, but I wanted to give it another chance today and went for the pop-up event for Haitian flag day. Once again, they were shortstaffed, and orders were taking forever to come out. Restaurant full of patrons, not enough staff. One girl on the register. I eventually got a refund because people that came in 45 minutes to an hour after I arrived, we're getting their orders. Staffed seemed extremely nonchalant when questioned about the hold up. One hour and a half is unacceptable to wait on an order. If there isn't enough staff, or just not enough food to accommodate everyone in a timely manner, just don't do it. Never again. And it's sad cause I've ordered from this business many times before they even had this brick and mortar restaurant.

It disappoints me I have to write such an underwhelming review on this establishment. I came for the Jan 1st Pop-up Event advertised on Instagram. I was excited to support and drove all the way from Alexandria, VA. I preordered my food online as instructed and arrived 30 minutes earlier. Parking was ample. When I arrived, there was a decent sized crowded already waiting inside. Red flag #1: all the people inside were also waiting for their order. I stood in a line of about 10 people ahead of me, all with online preorders. Many people said they had been waiting for 1-2 hours for their food. RIDICULOUS. Well, I too become that person and ended up waiting 1.5 hours for my food. While waiting, I received no updates and no apologies on the delay. Please do not try and justify this by saying 'well this is how X culture establishments operate'. This is not a excuse or valid reason.I ordered in advance, soup joumou and a rice bowl. I can't speak to the company's catering efforts but pop ups and one-one service is not a their point of strength right now. Perhaps this was a beta test to see how things would run but I can tell you as a customer it was a disaster. Overall, food was tasty but the flavor was overshadowed by the bad customer service and lack of organization. I would think twice about visiting this business and their services.
