I have been lucky to be a patron of Emmerts many, many times over many years following their crabs from their West Laurel neighborhood to Rt 1 and now out to Rt 32; however I haven’t had a chance to go there recently. We had tried to get into Emmett's before and it was all booked. This time we called a couple of days in advance and got in with no problem. Emmett's is Okay+, Quite Expensive, Kind of down-home-folksy atmosphere. Unless you are addicted to boiled crabs, I might suggest other restaurants. I ordered a fish entree which was okay but not (broiled properly) as good as I've had elsewhere. My wife and son really enjoyed the boiled crab! I must say the side dishes were...
We were a group of five. We were greeted and seated quickly. Ordered steamed crabs that were full and seasoned just right. Highly recommend the cream of crab soup and hush puppies. Fantastic waitresses.
