Top 3 best jollof I’ve ever had. The suya was okay, it was not as dry and jerky like as the Nigerian suya I’m used to. Plantains were perfectly caramelized and crispy

Waakye with goat and fried yam and fried turkey. This was the exact meal I needed after a long vacation. Ghanaian food gives me energy and this was the meal I needed to get my vim back. Didn’t pick up my call but when I got at the restaurant it seemed busy. My food came out relatively quick. Parking was fine. Shito was very good. Garrí was iffy not my favorite but still decent.

Amazing. Hands down some of the best dishes in the area. Waakye, jollof, grilled chicken, beef jerky, fried fish and chicken, meat pie, shito.
Neat little eating place. Staff are dedicated and very hospitable. Ousman is very nice and polite.
My commute is 22minutes on a good day and 25 with traffic. Food takes a while to prepare as is many African dishes so do well to order if you need bulk cooking.
Fantastic place for African dishes. Not going anywhere else!

onikay's Kitchen is a hidden gem for anyone craving bold, authentic West African flavors with a surprising Caribbean twist. The restaurant blends cultural influences beautifully—offering classic dishes like jollof rice alongside flavorful Caribbean staples such as jerk chicken.

I tried the jollof rice with jerk chicken, and it did not disappoint. The rice was rich and well-seasoned with just the right amount of heat, while the jerk chicken was juicy and had a nice smoky kick. You can really taste the care that goes into the preparation.

While the food is definitely tasty and satisfying, the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. That said, the quality and fusion of flavors help justify the cost—especially if you’re looking for something a little different.

Monikay's Kitchen brings something unique to the table with its West African-Caribbean combo, and it's worth a visit if you’re in the mood for flavorful comfort food with a twist.

Poor customer service. Waiting to be served yet no one seemed to come only stare and continue their own work. I left for another African restaurant.

I was seriously craving some good jollof, and Monikay’s Kitchen delivered way beyond expectations! I ordered the jollof rice with goat meat and a side of spicy suya—and let me tell you, every bite was a flavor explosion. The jollof was rich, perfectly seasoned, and had that authentic home-cooked taste I’ve been missing. The goat meat was tender and juicy, and the suya? Absolutely fire—spicy, smoky, and addicting.

Big shoutout to Ousmane Diallo, who took my order. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the whole experience even better with his warm and attentive service.

If you’re looking for real West African comfort food done right, Monikay’s Kitchen is it. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Suya plates suddenly got smaller and smaller portions and same price. Not worth the price for small portions.

I’m a lover of exquisite tasty west African Jellof rice. The rice I got here did not pass. Fried fish was good, 4$ meat pie was salty and not holding together.

5 star across the board. I got the red red plaintains and suya! It’s so hard to get this kind of food anywhere. I will drive hours to come here. The owners are a lovely husband and wife and they were so nice and happy! You can tell they love their business.
