I dashed in during the intermission of the show at Laurel Mill Playhouse. I sat at the bar and was able to sip on a glass of a lovely red blend and a nice appetizer--all under 12 minutes! The bartender was friendly and efficient. She made sure that I was able to return to the theatre prior to the second act. I've dined at this restaurant on numerous occasions and it never disappoints!!

The food was solid, but it wasn't especially impressive. The service was terrific--I appreciated CJ's sweet vibe throughout.

I had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant here. The young Caucasian man working the front was rude, dismissive, and downright disrespectful. His attitude made it very clear he didn’t want me there or value my business.
When I called back to speak with a manager, the same rude employee answered and pretended to be the manager even trying to change his voice. Eventually, he slipped up and admitted he was the manager’s son. Completely unprofessional and dishonest. After going back and forth with him, he eventually hung up on me. I never spoke to the actual manager, which is exactly why I’m writing this review.
It’s very unfortunate to have this kind of service at the front when the food itself is actually delicious. With better people representing the restaurant, this could easily be a great place but right now, the lack of respect ruins the entire experience.

Some of the rudest service I have encountered, I dont know who the woman is working the bar this evening, but she should find somewhere else to work. I have eaten here before, I don't know if I will return.
I have given this place several tries with the service being better. The food has gone down hill. It used to be flavorful and well seasoned. Turkey burger was dry, wings were reheated and not fresh, the chicken on my friends salad was rubbery, and the crab dip was more like a crab sauce was VERY salty with very little crab in it. I was unsure before about dining there again but not anymore.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Laurel. Great ambiance, wonderful menu and happy hour selections, and absolutely great service. A true gem.

I was in Laurel to visit the old train station and wanted some lunch. I read the great reviews and stopped in. Friendly staff. Free parking on the street. Plenty of seating! Well stocked bar with beer on tap. I shall return!

Went to Olive on Main twice in August 2025 - best happy hour... so we stayed on for dinner. Their offerings are reasonably-priced and not skimpy!! Everything we ordered was fresh and well-seasoned - try the Rockfish bites and the Mezza platter - just EXCELLENT!! The ambiance favors those meeting to talk and eat, using wall coverings to reduce din. Great service too.

Standout dishes I’d recommend
Mediterranean starters or tapas-style bites that pair beautifully with a glass of wine or a sparkling lemonade.

Olive on Main is not posh. Nor is it cozy and intimate. But it is an excellent choice if you are looking for reasonably priced, tavern-like fare, with a Greek twist. I went there for a late lunch with a friend, and we both had the veggie burger. We could choose our sides, and I got onion rings. The vegetarian burger was very tasty with just the right hint of spiciness. It was served on a fresh bun with crisp lettuce, sliced tomato, and topped with hummus. Pickles on the side if you wanted to include them. The onion rings were crisp and a good side for the burger. The service was also excellent.
Food is great, service is great. Marvelous hidden gem in Laurel.

Ordered beer, came 20 minutes later. My friend got his plate 20 after us. I ordered lamb kebab and chicken kebab. Chicken dry, lamb like rubber. First and last visit for sure.
