This is probably one of the saddest Chinese Food Take-out places I've seen. We have been in the area for about a year, tasting food from different locales, trying to find 'the places' we want to frequent. Menu online had so many options, pictures of the food looked appetizing, and I read the reviews before deciding to give it a try. Needless to say, the pictures are not up to date. Pictures online show an eating area with tables and chairs. When we got there, half of the place was closed up with a temporary wall of sorts. I guess they don't sit people anymore. No one was at the front, and when the person finally came out, not very friendly at all.
Pricey!!! We ordered Chow-Mein, Lo-Mein, Combination Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, General Tso's Chicken, and egg rolls. We ordered the large and extra large containers of food, as we like to have left overs for the next day. Anything fried, was dark and tasted off, as if the oils had not been cycled/changed in a long time. The Mongolian Beef probably had about 5 pieces of meat and the rest was a sea of onions. The rice!... oh my goodness, I've never seen fried rice like that before. The color was way off, taste as well. It was sad food, for all that we paid. I can't see ourselves going back, not even eating the leftovers the next day.
With how expensive everything is nowadays, one still likes to have a special treat every once in a while, and we try to be careful on the places we choose to spend our money in. This is not one of them, and it is not a repeat for us.
We are still on the lookout for a great place to get one of our favorite semi-monthly take out cuisines.

Always adore the food and have for several years. Go to place for some excellent Chinese food. Wish they were open for seating.

Just picked up my food. We ordered wings with fries and orange chicken. When we opened the wings we got the tiny wings not the normal fried chicken wings from a carry out. So disappointed.

Why is the kitchen completely closed off. You have to atleast see who's preparing your food.

Fried rice was black, chicken wings were bland and the fries were soggy. I guess their speciality is the Chinese food dishes. There are no good carry outs in Laurel.

I can’t believe this place is still open. The nastiest, most cheaply prepared ā€œCarryoutā€ food I’ve had in this area. The guy who works behind the cash register is kind, but the food is TERRIBLE!

Ordered the chicken lo mein lunch special that’s supposed to come with fried rice and egg roll. I did not get any rice and there’s barely any chicken in here. I got MAYBE 5-6 LITTLE pieces of chicken. The noodles were okay, definitely not fresh. The Ice tea is really good. The cashier was rude and had a bad attitude. I asked abou the door dash coupon card that was sitting on the front counter. I asked him if it was just for all of door dash or specifically this store. He rolled his eyes, shrugged his shoulders and said ā€œI don’t know, maybe door dash.ā€ Then he walked away into the back room. Also, the pictures show a restuarant style Chinese spot. That is not the case. It is a small walk in door and then a narrow hallway to the counter, no seating to eat. This is just a take out spot. Will probably never come here again. Just go to Panda Express.

The food is amazing; it tastes different from other Chinese restaurants because they all taste similar to one another. The flavors and entrees set Panda West apart from everyone else, the food is the most authentic and delicious food you will have the pleasure to experience!
