My first time getting food from this restaurant and I was excited to find another african restaurant in Laurel. However, I was not impressed with the quality of the food. We ordered egusi soup and pounded yam with side of plantains and side of chicken winglets. Egusi was ok but not as good as what I've had at the other 2 laurel african restaurants (Hunger Tamer and Vieve's cuisine). Plantains i specifically asked if they were sweet and turned out to be sweet but not...
Great vibes, good food, music, welcoming owners and staff. Came two nights in a row and also celebrated my MIL b-day. Will be back soon. Note: If spice/pepper is not your thing, you can call in advance to have your food prepared without spice (24 hours).
How am I just finding out of this place? The fisherman's soup is one of the best I've had in this country. It definitely reminded me of back home. I'll definitely return.
