Great food, options, and a classic atmosphere. We grabbed ribs and some meat platters. Everything was great but I was partial to the chicken quarter and my son loved the pork bbq. Our waiter was amazing and very informative of all the sauces and combos available. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

Was looking forward to some dry rubbed ribs but could not get service.
Definitely not manage properly. Had another waitress give us water and take drink order. After 10 min found our waiter was standing at the bar.
Left a spend my $100 somewhere else

Absolutely the best southern bbq place around. Only 2 in Maryland. Food is always outstanding and the bartender is perfect!

I was visiting from Louisiana. I came up here last year and spoke to the owner over the phone to see if we could get a table. We were here both times for a horserace. I wasn't able to make it to the restaurant last year. The owner (or manager) was so nice last year on the phone that I had to try this place on this visit. MY GOD. This was absolutely one of the worst meals I've ever had. EVER. The waitress sat me, took my order and brought my food all within 4 minutes of me sitting down. Wtf. That is never a good sign of good fresh food. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries. How do you mess that up? The bread was "breaking apart" on top and completely fell apart on the 3rd bite. I mean completely didn't exist after that. Disintegrated. NO more sandwich. Just broken bits of bread, and pulled pork in pile of slop. And the pulled pork had absolutely NO flavor. BBQ sauce was bland and tasteless. I ate half of my meal, ordered an Uber and went eat somewhere else. Seriously, this was horrific food. When I tried to ask the waitress if people liked this particular menu item, she had the personality of a salt shaker and didn't care at all. Walked away from me, rolling her eyes. I was VERY nice about it. I simply wanted to know if I maybe ordered the wrong thing. I'm blown away that this place is still in business. SIDE NOTE: I sent a private message on FB to the manager, just to let them know about this...In hopes they'd fix the issues for future guests. Wasn't looking for free food or anything else. NO reply. That's the only reason, I'm now posting this review. BTW, they only had 2 other tables at 12:30pm. I see why.

Charming place, great food with large selection of combo platters, and solid selection of appetizers.

So disappointed I’ve been going here for years. It was actually my favorite place. Hadn’t been there and at least a year went Friday night and was so disappointed. the air conditioner was only working on part of the restaurant. My plate was smaller with smaller portions. we didn’t get bread until we asked for it and it was not the same as it used to be. seemed like store-bought rolls not freshly baked. We ate and left because it was so uncomfortable. We couldn’t sit and visit. I can honestly say I will never go back.

I used to love this place a year ago and constantly brought friends in to try. Service is declining and has been hit or miss since March. Some of the food quality has also gone down, specifically the brisket, which Used to be my favorite item on the menu because it was always moist and delicious, unlike any that I could get anywhere else. But sits October 2023 the brisket always taste dry I won’t even order it anymore.
All the other items on the menu have maintained to be good.
Today I’m prompted to finally leave this review after being Ignored for 10 minutes and had to walk out because whoever was working seemed more concerned pacing around the bar.
I’m not sure I can give this place another chance again at this point.

We recently had Red, Hot & Blue cater our wedding in Savage, MD. This is one of my husband and I’s favorite restaurants and fit perfectly within our budget. We’ve gotten lots of compliments on the food! The servers were awesome. We will continue to go here anytime we are in the area!

Excellent food! Pulled pork is amazing. The onion loaf is different but delicious. Our server was attentive and courteous. Was traveling from northern harford county to Alexandria and stopped for lunch. Was quick affordable and tasty!
