The atmosphere was lovely and the servers were so niceeee. I would 100% go back because the food was so bomb. It felt so nice to be in such a quiet and inviting place and STILL have their food taste exquisite. The only thing that I have to complain about is that the refill drinks tasted like tap water, but apart from that, you won't regret the food!

The Big Greek Cafe is a cool spot in Laurel for Greek food. I stumbled upon the location because I mistook it for Yia Yia's further down the road thinking it was a new/updated version. I was later proved wrong lol when I drove further down Baltimore Ave. But I digress.
The gentleman who assisted me and took my order was very pleasant and if this review was only for him, BGC would be swimming in my praise. Banter was great and he was just all around friendly.
The food was tasty, but everyone who ate it got sick. Once is a coincidence, but four people is a pattern. I ordered 3 gyros and baklava (shared mine with another person which explains why 4 people ended up ill). We all had varying stomach responses from full on loose stool to stomach cramping.
I would be cautious about visiting and eating the food as there appears to be a hygiene problem in the kitchen or with the actual food.
6/26 Update: I emailed them on 6/12 per their request and have not received any sort of acknowledgement. I also completed their contact form on the website reporting that everyone who ate there got sick and still no response/acknowledgement.

The place is small but MIGHTY in flavor & service. Love the traditional Gyro..but the Greek Fries are a nice twist with feta and āGreekā seasoningā¦so watch out McDonaldās!
Big ups and three snaps to Emerson for his charming personality and awesome customer service! You make this place shine⦠did I mention they have rice pudding?

The food was delicious. I got the big Greek bowl with chicken and my husband got a gyro. Both were generously portioned. The service was wonderful as well!

The Big Greek Cafe is actually a small place. Only five seats in the restaurant, enough to seat 20. They have a good variety of Greek food, The service is pleasant and reasonably fast. The food is also good. I had a gyro on pita bread along with fries and a Coca-Cola. Meal cost about $15. I will eat here again.

Server was very nice and brought out our food.
Food is mediocre. Fish is unseasoned, although nicely cooked. The food took 25 minutes to come out.

I ordered a Pork Sovlaki and received a chicken sovlaki. When it was handed to me the guy at the counter said Pork Sovlaki. It was good, but not what I ordered.

I love the food and service here. I have stopped by twice the last month. I always get the salmon bowl, famous gyro pita, orzo pasta, calamari, baklava cheesecake. Food always comes out fresh and delicious. Highly recommend going on Wednesdays for the $7 gyro special

My first and last time there. Two hours after I ate the Gyro salad I was bent over the porcelain god recanting my sins. I havenāt had food poisoning like this for over 20 years. There was something definitely wrong with that meat. Good luck if you ever eat there.
