Golden Chicken & Japanese Grille

The 2 cashiers Gemma and Kendall ( I believe that was their names) were very kind and hard working, and helpful. They have great customer service . The food came out amazing.

Avoid this grille without hesitation. Thawed Hibachi Shrimp turn sour and putrid at room temperature, reheated General Tso’s Chicken develops fermented rank flavor. All fried appetizers use reused rancid grease, overly greasy and completely unseasoned. Hibachi steak portions severely shrunk, plates filled with wilted rotten zucchini and broccoli. Kitchen prep areas filthy, hair and plastic debris regularly found in fried rice and lo mein. Delivery prioritized over dine-in, staff dismiss food grievances with no full remakes or refunds.

Ordered Two rolls they came soaked in grease. Picked it up and fell apart , I work hard for my money this isn't okay!

The food's definitely good, no doubt about it. But the service? It's all over the place. Sometimes they nail your order and get it to you fast, other times it's just a headache.

Like recently, I ordered in person, and the cashier, who seemed to be a texting pro on her phone, somehow couldn't handle taking an order on the register and messed it up. When I finally got my food and told them it wasn't what I asked for, it seemed like an easy fix. However the manager made a huge fuss, so before things got worse, I just asked for my money back. Needless to say, I won't be going back there anytime soon.

Kind of dirty in there

This place used to be good??? New management? Had the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp, rice was hard, cold and Chewie , non-existent to minimal amount of vegetables and the shrimp has been regulated to 50 count size. Had to fight off the gnats for an iced tea out of a container that looked as if they pulled it out of the dumpster without wiping it off first. I had to ask the server/cook for a hot sanitizer towel to clean the gunk off of my table so my arms and food tray wouldn't adhere to it. I used to love this place and have defended it in the past but no more. My last stop here until they can get back to an A food health department rating. I don't even want to think about what it looks like on the food line in the back!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but my recent visit was a major letdown. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi, and the quality of the food was far below expectations. The chicken was dry, crunchy, and tasted like it had been cooked days earlier and reheated on the grill. It was barely edible, and definitely not fresh. For a place I once enjoyed, this was incredibly disappointing. Sadly, I won’t be returning anytime soon

3 orders to go of hibachi chicken, steak shrimp and all were overcooked. Minimal servings of veggies but ample servings of the meats, too bad but the steak meat was chewy, the chicken hard and dry and the shrimp were rubbery and very small. Not the same quality place we ate at a couple of years ago.

This place used to be amazing, clean, friendly, delicious. It is now run down, dirty, dim, and still delicious. They stopped selling sushi and they stopped cleaning the tables and floors. It's probably because people stopped buying sushi, because you don't buy sushi from a place that doesn't clean. Do you buy food? I think I'm done.

Won't deliver entire order and they say there's nothing they can do!!

I wish that I could give this place a 0. I visited this location on my lunch break from the nearby Naval Base and only ordered a small 2 piece chicken with fries. So far I have been waiting over 20 mins for my food while other customers have entered, ordered, received their food and are long gone AFTER ME!!! DO NOT VISIT THIS TRASH ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

Despite reading a lot of bad reviews I still took the chance and tried this place out. I’m glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised how good the fried chicken was. I purchased the 10 for $20 fried chicken box. It was hot and crispy and the batter had good flavor. Will definitely be coming back again for more friend chicken.
