Visited for the first time in over a decade to check it out. Sat at the bar, friendly staff. Nice enough that I thought I would come back with family and friends. Got the bill, $6.54 for a Miller Lite bottle. Really? On a Saturday afternoon. What a shame, I won't be going back.

If you haven't been to Vera's in a while, you will be pleasantly surprised. New owner, New name (Sunset at Vera's), New menu, New staff, same great view. The food is much better. The staff is doing an excellent job of putting the customer first with food suggestions and timely refills. I love the Fig and Pig Flatbread. I order it without the chorizo because it is too salty for me. My guests loved it with the chorizo. Personal preference? I have been there 4 times in the last 30 days. Thank You Vera's. We now have a new favorite dinner cruise destination.

Always a good experience there. Nice people and good service. The salads are the best. It taste like a vinegar based is made with it. Trust. It's delicious. Get there garden salad every time. It has cauliflower in it. Yummy ?

Veras, to me, was always a 5 star rating until we went and saw the new changes.
We won't be able to go to veras anymore???? here's why:
We have been going to Veras for a few years now. Always to get the amazing jumbo fried shrimp and the delicious zucchini with great water views.
We recently went there about 2 weeks ago, and to our surprise, they have a new owner and changed the menu drastically.
No longer offering the best jumbo fried shrimp on the east coast? or the delicious zucchini plus a few other items. Which is the entire reason we use to frequent. The food we did order was good, but the stuff they took off the menu was a staple.
Other than that, we loved the original veras menu.

Vera is situated in the water ... a beautiful view. Can't go wrong with the Reuben... or the soft shell crabs... or the steamed crabs. Heard a band that played some Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendricks, and others. A must return whenever in the area.
Had a terrific Father's day lunch with my daughter. Food was excellent.

The food and venue were fabulous. Highly recommend the crab cake and the smoked fish dip. It was a little difficult to eat at a dining table in an Adirondack chair.

Wasn't busy at all, and the service was awful. I had to go inside to get our server to get refills and order. I approached our waiter to correct our concern, and he asked who our waiter was. I said, "It's you." Had to go inside again to get my credit card back after paying as well. Great atmosphere, food is overpriced but decent, and horrible service is what we got. I'll choose differently next time.

Vera’s is all about the atmosphere and it delivers. The food is great as well. Unfortunately the new management/owners (owners of Stoney’s in Prince Frederick) have upped the prices of everything and severely watered down the drinks (minus the beer obviously).
