We visited on a family vacation last month and had a wonderful experience! Despite being a large group of customers, the 2 young workers behind the counter took our orders politely and served us delicious ice cream quickly. We enjoyed the bright, classic ice cream shop atmosphere. Best of all, they had a few great options for my daughter with a dairy allergy. (We moved our large party to this shop after one a few minutes down the road had nothing on the menu that she could eat.) Thanks for making us happy tourists, Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery!
Good ice cream (and dairy free alternatives).
They had a great variety of icecream.
Good coffee and ice cream
We stumbled upon Bear Creek Coffee and Creamery while visiting the gift shop next door, and I’m so glad we did. I initially walked in just looking for a cup of coffee—but quickly realized it was also an ice cream shop, and a really cute one at that!
The inside is super clean and cheerful, with a fun red, yellow, and burgundy tiled floor, bright red pendant lights, and a retro soda fountain vibe. There’s a long counter full of Hershey’s ice cream options, plus a full coffee bar with lots of syrups and a smoothie menu. Several tables inside make it a great place to take a break and enjoy your treat.
Service was excellent. There was one young woman working behind the counter on the afternoon of Sunday, July 13th, and she was absolutely fantastic. Despite a growing line, she stayed calm, efficient, and friendly. I wish I’d gotten her name—whoever manages this place should know what a gem they have in her.
I ordered the cherry vanilla milkshake, and it was incredible—rich and creamy, with real cherry pieces and just the right balance of flavor. We also got a vanilla cone, and even the small size was generous. We wanted to try the mint chocolate chip, but they were out. The employee even offered to make something similar using other ingredients, which was thoughtful, though we ended up going with another flavor.
This spot feels like a hidden gem—whether you’re in the mood for coffee, ice cream, or just a cool place to relax, it’s worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area… and I’ll be trying the coffee then too!
Definitely the best iced mocha latte I've had, and the service was great and the workers were very friendly
The price for ice cream was decent. The ice cream itself, though was another story. It was half melted already and had big ice chunks. Not a pleasant experience.
Hidden Gem on a Chilly Day – Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery Hits the Spot!
It was an unusually cold June day — even by Garrett County standards — but that didn’t stop us from checking out Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery, and I’m glad we did. The place was nearly empty, likely due to the weather, but that just meant we had this cozy little gem all to ourselves.
Despite the chill in the air, I couldn’t resist a scoop of their Hershey’s Roadrunner Raspberry ice cream — and it was absolutely worth it. Rich, creamy, and bursting with that sweet-tart raspberry flavor, it was the perfect treat no matter the temperature.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and you can tell this place is built on small-town charm and quality. Whether it’s hot or cold, Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery is always a sweet stop worth making.

It’s hilarious to call yourself a creamery when you serve Hershey’s ice cream… I mean, Hersheys is ok, but just ok. When you say creamery it really makes you think it’s homemade/made in house ice cream. When I asked the lady in the front to be sure, she acted like I was an idiot for even asking. Not great customer service at all. I would pass if you’re looking for something special.
