For ~$16 a plate, and a short distance from our hotel, both visits to Perkins were very pleasant & a good value. The 50's music was a nice touch too.”

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the customer service was truly top notch — everyone was so friendly and welcoming from start to finish. The cozy log cabin atmosphere made the whole experience even better and gave it the perfect Deep Creek Lake vibe! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!”

“I typically frequent a different local restaurant, but I decided to try the The Green Turtle this time. Normally, I review the menu beforehand, but I skipped that step. The crab dip and shrimp pasta were absolutely delicious , while my uncle enjoyed an avocado chicken sandwich along with a Tropic Buzz drink. This place has quickly become one of my new favorites, and I must mention that our waitress, Jen, was fantastic at suggesting dishes for us to try.”

“While other fast food restaurants in the resort area only offer take out and curbside services we were able to sit down and eat our meal inside - with tables blocked off for appropriate social distancing. this also meant customer use of the restrooms. a big relief in distant road travels. The work crew is however a little chaotic.”

“My husband and I are locals and frequent Dutch’s At Silver Tree often. We have traveled many places near and far and always say Dutch’s has the best seafood ever. We have never had a bad meal. Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious every time. It is on the pricy side but totally worth every penny. Their creative appetizer nights and Wednesday specials make it affordable for those not wanting to spend the extra money. We do miss their seafood buffet Fridays. That was always our favorite. Wish that would come back. You can’t visit Deep Creek without dining at Dutch’s at Silver Tree 🥰”

“My new favorite place to eat! Whether you're at the Lake or in Oakland the food here is Worth the trip!! I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, my husband got the Smash Burger and our daughter got the Mac and Cheese, we also tried the crabby hushpuppies and fresh cut fries. Everything was soooo delicious! The service was great, the staff is so friendly and the food was hot and prepared perfectly! 🤤🤤🤤 The crab hushpuppies are a must for sure!!!”

“I was working in the area and the customer provided their barbecued chicken lunch and I cannot remember eating better chicken EVER! Lunch came with the entire left side of the chicken baked beans and Mac and cheese. I thought there was no way I could eat all of the chicken but I did along with the baked beans which were in my top 3, didn’t make it to the Mac but it looked good. Will probably eat there again tomorrow for lunch.”

It would be such a great way to build community for the permanent residents and tourists alike! Don’t miss out on the Saturday jalapeño and cheese bread! Come early because they sell out fast ❤️”
