The antique tables and chairs are amazing! The staff is so sweet and the brunch we had on Sunday was insanely good. Def make a reservation! I had the sausage gravy and it was the best I've had. My husband had the best Bloody Mary. Definitely will be a stop every time we visit DCL.

Overall a good experience. The wait staff seemed to be a little understaffed for a Saturday night, but our waiter was good at his job.
The food was mostly good but whatever sauce is put on the steak and brie sandwich is too much. It overshadows the flavor of the steak and I didn't even bother finishing my sandwich because of it.

I wanted to love this restaurant. The vibe is pretty good and we had done take out here a couple of years ago. We were in McHenry for the weekend and were looking forward to giving it a try. And WOW were we disappointed.
The service was truly awful. We were there around 5:30P and the restaurant was only about 1/3 full. Our waitress took our drink order, brought our drinks and then we literally did NOT see her again until she (eventually) brought our check. We had to all share a glass or water because we weren't able to order more drinks or get refills. But honestly the worst part was that we couldn't get silverware. We eventually were able to get 4 sets (there were five of us) and we literally shared napkins and silverware. It was absolutely ridiculous.
There was no one we could even ask or anyone from whom we could get help. If it had been an option we would have stayed for dessert. I honestly don't have any idea whether they even have dessert though because after waiting for at least 20 minutes after we had finished eating, our waitress showed up with our bill. There was never any acknowledgement that she had disappeared or had been unavailable. It was truly shocking.
The food was just ok. It was a little cold - but that was probably because we had to wait so long for a kitchen staff member to find silverware for us. There was just nothing special about any of it. And it was NOT worth the horrible service.
We obviously won't go back. Don't ruin one of your night in Deep Creek at this restaurant. There are too many other good options!
