I am from Pittsburgh rented a cabin for the week. Wanted to order my daughter a cake for her 16th birthday. Called 8am 7/8/2025 didn’t want the cake until 7/9/25 Around 7pm 35 hours later & Still couldn’t help me out. Like come on we are not even from Maryland. Couldn’t make my daughter a cake for sweet 16. Sometimes it’s nice to be nice. We are from out of town. Wouldn’t have killed you to make my daughter day special. People are just so mean any more. Shame on you👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Bad customer service. I worked Customer service all my life, never turned away customer or money especially people from out of town that are not regulars. We requested a 3 tier cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, lemon flavor with raspberry filling as well as small cupcakes. Our guests loved the desserts. Our family was at Deep Creek Lake vacationing for the 4th of July weekend. My wife's b-day happens to be on the 4th (lucky lady). She LOVES Key Lime pie so each year I try to get her a pie from a new/different local bakery, whether at home or traveling. Using Yelp/Google I found Pamela of Mountain Flour Bakery and asked if she could make us a Key Lime Pie, she said no problem. Pick-up was a breeze at the local supermarket and the pie was the BEST my wife said she ever had. Can't thank you enough for helping her have a great birthday and making such a great pie. We ordered a white cake with lemon curd filling for our daughter's wedding at a McHenry vacation rental and all of our guests just raved about how beautiful and delicious it was. I I found this shop online while searching for a local bake shop to order my husband‘s birthday cake while in deep creek. I looked at the review and wanted to give it a try. First of all, the service over the phone was just ok. Also, I was disappointed with the taste and decoration of the cake. It looked like an average grocery store cake and found it a bit pricey for what i have received. The icing was very sweet and the cake was dry. I asked for German chocolate cake but it did not taste like that at all.
