I typically frequent a different local restaurant, but I decided to try the The Green Turtle this time. Normally, I review the menu beforehand, but I skipped that step. The crab dip and shrimp pasta were absolutely delicious , while my uncle enjoyed an avocado chicken sandwich along with a Tropic Buzz drink. This place has quickly become one of my new favorites, and I must mention that our waitress, Jen, was fantastic at suggesting dishes for us to try.

This "sports bar" doesn't even have NFL Sunday Ticket. When we went to watch the Ravens v. Commanders (both teams from Maryland) we were told the only game option they had was Philly v. Cleveland because that was what was on broadcast. In Maryland...we couldn't watch the Ravens game. Unbelievable.

Was the food any good? Who knows? Honestly - who goes to a sports bar to eat, except while you are watching the game you are there to watch!!

Worst sports bar in the area.

Great American food, friendly service, but what I liked most is the decoration and the atmosphere of sports and American life

Nobody answers the phone. When I walked in the host mentioned they intentionally shut phones off and online ordering when it is too busy. I have 3 small children and so it is harder for me to get out of the house on vacation to go order food, wait and then bring it home.

I ordered two meals over the phone for pickup. The male employee who took the order was less then enthusiastic about his job. The order was the cajun shrimp pasta with a side of slaw, and the tenders basket that includes fries and slaw.
I picked up our food and noticed the place didn't have many customers. After leaving I checked my receipt and discoved I had been charged $2 extra for my fries. Granted $2 isn't a lot but the meal cost $18 to begin with. The pasta meal was also missing it's side of slaw but it wasn't on the receipt.

The food tasted good except for the slaw that came with the tenders because they stuck it in with the hot chicken and it was very warm by the time I got to eat it.

I'm disappointed that I spent so much money for a food order that was screwed up. The staff had to do the bare minimum of preparing it and handing it to me and the weren't even busy.

I'd recommend Ledos as a slightly cheaper alternative, but their service is also poor these days. Plus they're demanding 20% gratuity for parties or 5 or more who dine in.

Locals are better off packing a lunch and saving their money.

Loved, loved, loved this place! If we could give it more stars we would. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly to us and even moreso our dog! Loved that! Service was excellent. Our waitress knew just when to leave us be and when to come to table. Plus she was just really sweet and helpful. Deck was beautiful. Menu had great variety and food was delicious. I’m always skeptical when a restaurant touts a dish as legendary but in this case, the chicken fingers lived up to their moniker. They were amazing. Oh and the funnel cake fries? Wow!! Don’t skip them! We will definitely make this a regular stop anytime we come to Deep Creek Lake!

It’s an absolutely beautiful weekend, yet the outside bar is closed again. No wonder there are no customers. Come on, management— you have great staff and a nice deck. Open up the outside bar, and people will come.
