The pancakes they serve are literally aunt jemima (pearl millimg company) just add water mix. Yes. The same mix you buy in the store. Pesto pasta sauce is dyed green and comes from a tube.. if you’re wondering why the presto dish is sooo unnaturally green and doesn’t taste like pesto very much. Had brunch there this morning and it was super yummy. The only complaint is that the bar chairs are not comfortable. I was in jeans and I was constantly sliding forward. I used my feet to push me back on and hold me there; I shouldn’t have to engage my muscles to sit in a bar chair. Other than that, it was great. Good food, good service, and good bartenders.
I have been to a Michael’s owned establishment entirely too many times in my life and what I can tell you, unequivocally, is that their cream of crab soup is legitimately the best there is!!
Unfortunately, like everything they sell, you can only have it at a ridiculously expensive price.
Your family can easily spend hundreds of dollars for dinner but the one standard for Michael’s is that you’ll be treated as if you came in off the street.
