We had such an incredible and unforgettable experience at this winery! Gary (the owner), his wife, and Leo (their dog) made the wine tasting experience very welcoming and we felt right at home with them! Their wines are all goods, of course we have our favorites but you can't go wrong with any. It was a great surprise to find so great wines so close to our home. Gary treat the vines only with organic products and you can tell it when you try the wines as it just feel so good and clean. We will be back and we will bring more family and friends to this amazing winery. I can't finish this review without saying that they have the most beautiful views that we have seen so far in a winery in Maryland and Virginia area. This is a MUST winery 🍷 to try! Thanks Gary for such a great experience! We can't wait to be back! ☺️

Best experience I’ve had during a wine tasting! Gary is very knowledgeable and amazingly personable. We visited for Mother’s Day, the view is beautiful, the wines are smooth and delicious (I’m not even a big wine drinker). My mother declared that she wants to make this an annual tradition, done!!

I almost NEVER leave reviews unless the business is particularly bad, but this place is wonderful! Gary, the owner, grower, AND host, is a kind, personable man who will go out of his way to make your experience as memorable as possible.
The winery is by appointment only, which makes sense once you see the property. There is only enough space for 10-15 people at a time, which is likely intentional so Gary can give every group his personal attention. The view of the valley is incredible, and might rival any view that the Italian countryside has to offer.
We tried five wines, two whites and three reds, and every one was some of the best wine I've ever had. Several of the wines have placed in regional and national competitions - And Gary is actually irritated that his wines earn silver instead of gold!
We also received a tour of his vineyard, a long and very interesting Q&A about the process of growing and fermenting, and even got to spend time with his dog, Leo!
Long story short, if you're a wine connoisseur looking for the best wines around, or if you're simply visiting western Maryland and looking for things to do, make a point to visit Mazzaroth. The wine, the view, and the personal attention you'll receive are top-notch. You'll remember it forever!

Absolutely incredible spot, wine, and owners. You really cannot go wrong. Make an appointment beforehand. You'll feel like part of their family in this little MD vineyard oasis!! Truly a treasure. Wine is some of the best we've ever tasted in our lives. The Tannat is incredible but really you need to get a glass of everything-they're truly out of this world!

My husband and I booked a reservation on a whim last Sunday after the owner posted a beautiful view of the property. We had such a wonderful, personable experience. Gary and his two dogs Leo and Luna were the best hosts. The wine is some of the best we’ve had in Maryland. He had us try some of the wine right from the fermenting tanks and took us into the vineyard to explain his process. So interesting! We can’t wait to take some charcuterie and go back this summer to enjoy the wine and view!

My wife and I stopped in on a whim not realizing tastings were by reservation. The owner was very nice and more than willing to accommodate us with a full tasting! At no point was he rushing or pushing us out. We would definitely recommend stopping in (although a reservation is probably a good idea). Wine was very very enjoyable and we took a few bottles home with us. The conversation was just as nice! Don’t miss this tucked away gem!

Great wine tour and tasting experience. The owners customized the experience so we were the only ones doing the tour. We got to try wines straight from their wine tanks. We enjoyed their wines so much we bought 12 bottles. Best wines in Maryland. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends!
