I can’t say enough wonderful things about our wedding at Maryland National Golf Club. The venue perfectly combines rustic charm with timeless elegance, and our photos truly capture the beauty of this hidden gem. Reghan went above and beyond to handle every detail flawlessly, and the staff were both fun and professional. I’d choose to get married here a thousand times over!
We were at Schroyer's Tavern for a class reunion. The food was delicious, the great. We socialized with friends then ate from a wonderful buffet! The staff members were attentive to our needs and wants! We had a fantastic and joyful evening!

I went here for a high school reunion. It's a good venue for a group of that size. The wait staff was exceptional. Also, it was fun for me as my MIL is a Schroyer, whose family owned the farm on which the golf course was built

We went to dinner, last night and it was terrible. The service was fine but the food was awful. I ordered a steak and cheese with a salad and the only thing that was good was the salad. The steak and cheese was so dry and I believe it was probably just frozen “Steakums”. Unfortunately, I could only take a few bites. I believe the waitress probably wasn’t experienced enough to make it right. Not her fault would need to be trained better . I also ordered a crabcake sandwich to go end. It too, was awful soggy all filler couldn’t find any crab meat in it, and had absolutely no taste to it. I only live 2 miles and it’s a very convenient place to go but I don’t know that I would go back. I also should’ve saw the warning on the table next to us, sent her plate of food back. It’s sad for such a beautiful place to go to for a meal.

We happened upon this breakfast option near Middletown, Maryland, on a Sunday morning, and were very satisfied with the ambiance, service, and food!! Excellent experience!!

The restaurant’s location is stunning, with windows overlooking the golf course and plenty of natural light creating a relaxing atmosphere. The service was good - attentive, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting, as it was mediocre and lacked flavor.
For the price, we expected a bit more refinement; even small touches, like tablecloths, could have elevated the dining experience and added a touch of class. We also encountered an issue with our reservation, despite confirming it ahead of time, which got things off to a disappointing start.
While the ambiance and staff were good, the food fell short of expectations. For now, it’s more about the view than the dining experience.

Just minutes off of I-70. We enjoyed good food, excellent service and a bonus beautiful sunset. We ordered the fish and chips and the Philly Cheese steak sandwich (the sandwich wasn't on the google list of menu items to choose from during the review process). Both items were wonderful and we'd order them after trying some of the other items first the next time we're passing through during meal time.

August 27, 2024 - We rarely “do country clubs”, but we enjoyed our time . . . when friends invited us for a good lunch !
Maryland National Golf Club is a public course , with a very nice tavern overlooking the 18 th hole . . . Can’t beat the Middletown valley scenery! ??????
Katlynn , our server, handed out lunch menus and shared the daily specials! No beer list, but she quickly rattled off beer choices . . . I tried the pineapple Hazy IPA ?! Wonderful summer ale!
My wife ordered Crab Imperial w/melted cheese over an English muffin. Our friends also ordered a Crab Imperial, plus fish & chips with homemade potato chips ! I tried Maryland Crab Soup, with Old Bay Spices a common spice in Maryland on all item’s featuring CRAB ?! Excellent soup, with a tomato based broth , and perfectly cooked crunchy vegetables! ( not cooked to mush) Then enjoyed a Chef Salad.
A nice lunch in a cool AC dining room with lots of windows overlooking the golf course on a sunny day ! ????????? A great lunch spot, to “ catch up” with our Maryland friends !

So, I drive out here to watch the final round of the 2024 Masters Tournament to find that the establishment policy is not to turn up the sound for the broadcast. Instead, I was subjected to "Classic Rock" muzak.?This is a golf course club house, for goodness sake! I bailed, went to my favorite bar in downtown Frederick which was allowing patrons to hear the broadcast. Also, the food here is typical uninspiring golf course fair, nothing to seek out. I'll never return.

One single employee/AP in the pro shop left an absolutely awful taste in my mouth after playing only two rounds here in the same week. After my second round I was planning on sitting down in the restaurant to eat and relax before heading out for the day. Upon returning to the clubhouse, the employee at the pro shop desk was extraordinarily rude and condescending. There is zero excuse for that kind of tone and standoffish body language with a client…especially one that is new to your course and WAS considering a membership. I basically shrugged him off and washed my hands and sat down in the restaurant area. While waiting for anyone to even notice I was waiting, the full extent of just how condescending and disrespectful he was kind of hit me and just put an aweful taste in my mouth. So much so that I just got up and left. Dispite the fact this course is a little overpriced for what it is, the course is well maintained, has a good layout, everyone except the one individual was delightful, but I will not be back. I did try contacting someone to just voice my concern about being spoken to this way and never heard back. That lack of following up tells me you don’t care enough. I’d love to be proven wrong about that however.
This place has been one of our greatest experience since arriving here from Texas. Kevin is a great waiter but then you have the manager, Mike, telling Kevin in front of us to not be so sociable. I do not know who owns Middleton Tavern but time to reconsider your managers. Kevin you did no wrong it was great having you make us feel welcomed in this part of the US. I am retired law enforcement and military veteran. Thank you sir.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Schroyer's. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. We will definitely be back!
Kid-friendliness: Our son watched golf out the window while we ate, and loved it.
