“The food was fantastic but we had to wait a long time. It was 8:45, and we called ahead to make sure we could still get food. They said yes. But the cook ignored our order and wouldn't make it. We could hear him complaining. Our server, however, jumped in and cooked our food. She made our food and waited on us. She was friendly and apologized many times. But over all our server saved the day and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the crabby fries!! Very good“

“Overall, a decent experience. We attended the Valentine's Rave event. Mostly because we like EDM. We had fun, the place was decent and the stage is impressive. The DJs were mixed, one great, others OK. They went out of their way to emphasize that people should be responsible when we bought the tickets. Of course, some idiot decided to throw himself around while carrying his drink which ended up covering my wife in his drink. Wish they had someone keeping an eye on things and kicked his butt out of the place. Other than that, we had a decent time.“

Kellys Tavern Bar •
2 Union St, Lonaconing

“I love this bar! It's Allegany County's oldest bar in continuous operation. Talk about walking into a time capsule. The bar is made out of a continuous piece on Honduran mahogany from the 40's believe. The walls are covered with vintage beer signs, old pictures and antique coal mining pieces. Sam, the bartender, is great. He opens at 7pm Mon-Sat and stays open as long as there are customers.Cash only. On/Off sales so you can get a bottle to go.Bring ID if Sam doesn't know ya.Parking: Small parking lot behind the building on Main Street.“

“Very local bar. Everyone stared at me the the first time I went, but ultimately all were welcoming and I made a few friends. Surprisingly good wings on wing night (Monday).... they take a while to prepare because of the line but good excuse to relax with a beer.“

“Extremely friendly!!! Like creepily so!! I felt like we were in a supernatural episode and about to meet a pagan god for dinner in an apple orchard, if you know what I mean. However, that was not the case as they (patrons of the tavern including the Barney) were just overly friendly. I got the double Angus burger which was a respectable bar burger (3.5/5), chicken sandwich was pretty good, my son said (4.5/5). Finally, the fish sandwich was also a near perfect sandwich (4.5). This was one of the better experiences my boys and I had on our interesting journey across the east.“

“I won't lie, this place pleasantly surprised me. I mean- a beach themed place in the mountains and a college town... my expectations were low. But wow did they impress at every level. As a water/beach loving girl, the ambiance (to include a sand pit) was so perfect I could almost make myself believe I WAS at the beach. Our server was so friendly and on top of it. Our drinks never went empty and she made several great recommendations to improve our experience. And then the food. We devoured the cheese fries. Even my friend who doesn't like cheese fries are them. Something about that Gouda sauce instead of cheddar.... We had shrimp and fish tacos and a chicken sandwich. The tacos were fresh and delish. The chicken sandwich wasn't anything special but hit the spot if that's your thing. And we liked that you could choose what sauce to have the chicken dipped in. This might become a must stop anytime I am driving by on I-70!!!!“
